Happy Tuesday Friends!

Well here we are… getting ready to witness HISTORY on this January 20, 2009. I have mixed emotions this morning. On one hand I am sincerely THRILLED to be inaugurating the first black American President! This is reason enough for every American to rise with chill bumps and tears… as the martyrdom of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. displays the ENDURING POWER of his noble sacrifice! 

Today, history will be made as America boldly announces to the entire world that race is no longer an issue for our country… we are no longer cursed with the sin of racial injustice… no longer divided over the color of our skin! Today, we have the surest chance at racial unity we’ve ever been afforded! In this I will REJOICE like crazy… and I am praying that this event will live in reality far beyond the symbolism it demonstrates.

For me, the sadness comes when I consider how confused and divided we are in the area of religion and values. In the spirit realm, my heart is ACHING… when I see how decidedly the majority voice of our land is unifying against the traditional CHRISTIAN VALUES that brought us thus far. Over the past 100 years, America has been drifting… and today in the early morning of this 21st Century we are unifying against our founding religious convictions.

While I applaud us for celebrating the civil rights legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., I call upon us to consider how far from Dr. Kings spiritual convictions we have gone. I have to wonder if King could speak at today’s inauguration… if after weeping over the fruitfulness of his sacrifice, he would warn the American people of a coming oppression far more horrific than that of civil injustice. At the fulfillment of a DREAM, would he present ANOTHER DREAM!

I have a DREAM TODAY… it’s the very same dream our founding fathers had when they set sail for this NEW COUNTRY. I dream of a nation that NEVER FORGETS where she came from! A nation that never turns her back on the God that gave her beauty! I dream of becoming once again… one nation UNDER GOD. I dream of a day when Jesus Christ is praised from our national podiums without shame and without apology. I dream of abolishing the “tolerance” agenda that spiritually oppresses the American people in the name of freedom. Because real freedom can only exist where there is a common STANDARD… a common system of values… a common God. 

As mentioned in my 2009 prophecy… I believe that a vast sea of Americans are right now giving their souls to the dream of the LIBERAL nation. So many Americans see the traditional values folks as the roadblock to progress. They desire for us to become a nation of many gods… a nation far more tolerant… far more GREY concerning right and wrong, good and evil. This dream is very far from the one presented by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. decades ago… and we have no idea where this is going to take us.

So as I rejoice in this moment with the rest of my fellow Americans… I remain in a posture of prayer, asking for God to reach us! Join with me today… pray for America! Pray that through the excitement of this historical moment, we will not buy into the lie of a liberal dream… and thrust ourselves into the most ancient form of slavery and oppression known to man. (the slavery of godlessness) Pray for President Obama to have a REAL EXPERIENCE with God… and to make that experience public over the course of his presidency! Pray for reform in the Christian churches of America! Pray for a spiritual reformation that will bring America back to her roots! And then, with these blessings, we will be a city set on a hill once again… shining with spiritual brightness once again!
