Long Live God Almighty :)

one-world-religionHappy Wednesday Friends!

I watched and prayed through the Inauguration of President Barak Obama yesterday. The event was beautiful… his speech was very good. I really appreciated many of President Obama’s words… I saw HOPE in him yesterday. It is my prayer that God will reach him and steer his heart AWAY from the far left liberal agenda he has promised America.

I personally agree with a tiny portion of the liberal argument. I do believe that some politicians and national leaders in the conservative camp are standing in the way of progress. This is because of their lack of adventure and inovation, not their commitment to ancient morals or their religious fortitude. So I pray for conservatives to have an open mind… to be far more creative and far more flexible where new ideas do not violate Gods commands.

Far left America cannot and should not blame God or our commitment to Gods ancient truths for the lack of creativity within our camp. Our bold commitment to God has never and will never, hold us back from great progress. For some time now, this has been the argument. That in order for America to go forward, we need a metamorphosis in our traditional religious basis. There is overwhelming pressure on the conservative camp to move our ancient border stakes… to adjust our moral position and tone down our relationship with God… to tolerate and accommodate a changing world.

Religious and moral tolerance is not the solution. The standard must endure and modern civilizations must remain committed to the timeless biblical truths of all real freedom. God’s holy word and Jesus Christ, savior of the world… this is the standard that made us… it is the standard that gave America the freedom we promote throughout the earth. True freedom is not found in being controlled by nothing… it is found in being committed to unchanging truths and an Almighty God. In the shifting tides of these modern eras, He is a rock of fortitude… the very same yesterday, today, and forever. He is the magnetic north of our moral compass!

Yesterday, I recognized a call for a merging of religions… the harmony of multiple gods under one roof. While I agree that we must seek to live PEACFULLY with people of other religions, we must never mix their gods with our God and make try to make one common God we can all agree upon. If he is God… then we humans should never seek to alter him. And we Americans should never become ashamed to call upon THE ONE GOD that we claimed during the era we were forged. If he was good enough for us then… then we must not abandon him now.

So long live GOD ALMIGHTY here in the United States of America! In God we have trusted… and IN GOD we must always trust.

Hope you guys have another AMAZING day… you’re all beautiful people!! Chat with you later… :)

    Hey Chuck,

I have a question regarding this quote:

"I do believe that some politicians and national leaders in the conservative camp are standing in the way of progress. This is because of their antiquated business paradigms, not their commitment to ancient morals or their religious fortitude."

The term "progress" is quite subjective. In the eyes of liberals, "progress" includes religious pluralism, gay marriage, and more abortion on demand. In regard to “antiquated business paradigms”, we clearly have a proponent of demonic socialism in the White House, in contrast to the proven free market system demanded in Scripture.

So when Christians are accused of standing in the way of “progress”, we need a clear definition of what that is before we can answer in the affirmative. In the case above, we should stand in the way.

    • chuck says:

Great question… thanks for asking Puritan Lad! I think sometimes, as Christians we spend so much of our time HOLDING BACK the tidal wave of unrighteousness building over our heads that we fail to spend enough of our energies on MOVING FORWARD with the FAITH and ADVENTURE of our forefathers.

We come off as the gloom and doomers of our society… always talking about restrictions and never discussing possibilities… and in our attempt to keep the land pure, we dig in our heals in a defensive posture… while the "liberals" kick our tails in the realm of innovation.

I so agree with your thoughts on standing OPPOSED TO SOCIALISM, religious pluralism, gay marriage, and abortion. I suppose I'm suggesting that as we hold up our standard, we must advance as a country in FAITH and CREATIVITY… and lead FORWARD as we hold firmly to our christian positions. And I believe that both can be accomplished.

I've amended the statement you mentioned, to keep readers from assuming I may be opposed to a free economy.

Hope this helps to further clarify my blog thoughts… thanks for making this post better with your comments! God bless you!! :)

  2. Hey Chuck, I really was moved by his speech yesterday and thought also it did hold a sense of hope

and vision for America moving forward giving credit to our fore fathers who fought and founded

this country and the principles it stands on to keep it rooted in what God created.

  3. Puritan Lad says:

Thanks for the clarification. I fully agree.

One one hand, we are to hold back the tide of unrighteousness, but we are also to be salt and light to a bitter and dark world, in the hope that we will be victorious.

Part of the "doom and gloom" mentality comes from some very questionable end times teachings.

    • chuck says:

I know that the times I personally come off as "gloom and doom" are those times when I present standards and consequences without also presenting HOPE. This is such a challenge for anyone thats passionate about truth.

These days, I pray to be ballanced. I desire to keep the standard raised high, while encouraging EVERYONE that God is well able to LIVE THROUGH US in beautiful ways! I want to steer my hearers away from the consequesnces of godlessness… and INTO the blessings and the HOPE of living in Gods grace!

Very thought provoking blog. There is hope and we have to continue to have faith in that Hope. God is righteous and I am thankful for that. We need to continue to pray for our government. But, we also need to continue to pray for the people our nation that are to stuck in darkness. It amazes me how many atheists are in the US. How do we reach these people? I continue to pray for God's guidance and wisdom in this area. Thanks again for making me think and seek God on a deeper level.

  5. Puritan Lad says:

"How do we reach these people?"

Great Question. The church needs to get serious in the area of apologetics and sound doctrine, What we have today, in the words of one writer, is "a God without wrath inviting people without sin into a kingdom without judgment by way of a Christ without a cross". Until we take the gospel seriously, the church will continue into cultural retreat. Judgment begins in the household of GOd.

  6. Nuala says:

I know people should be drawn because of the changes they see in us, but are they seeing it? I do believe we should engage them into a conversation, but without them ending it. The ending being them searching and seeking God and seeking answers to questions we've left them with during the conversation. I re-read Mere Christianity again recently and if I could I would mail it to every atheist.

  7. concerned Christian says:

Just how far do you consider ancient Christian morals to go back? Are we considering the time

when only the Catholic Church was the founding principle. At this time intolerance was high

and many were murdered under the name of Jesus. Jews who the bible stated are the chosen

people of God were killed and imprisoned in the name of Jesus. Our church which was founded

after the 95 Thesis were hunted down and burned as heretics. Our church according to the ancient

morals were considered to be ungodly by the only church of the time.

Or do we go back to the times were millions were put into slavery in the name of Jesus because

of the color of skin? You stated that we should strive to be like the founding principles

that our forefathers created this great country on. Our forefathers set up a founding country

that only allowed rich white men to have land, vote, hold office and be recognized as citizens.

So are we to strive to reverse 200 hundred years of progress to go back to the founding principles

that our forefathers believed was the way in the name of Jesus. Or do we truly hold these truths

to be self evident that all men were created equal and had the right to life, liberty and pursuit

    of happiness.

I would appreciate an explanation of your definition of "Ancient Traditions/values"
