Happy Saturday Everyone!

Isn’t that video INSPIRATIONAL! This guy Cody Jacobs posted it on his facebook and it rocked me so much I had to pass it on to my loving bloggers!

It’s superbowl weekend guys and gals… wooot wooot wooot! We’re watching it on the BIG SCREEN at Destiny Family Center… party starts at 5:30pm. Pick up the details in this weeks edition of the Destiny Times.

About 8 years ago, we we’re staying in St. Louis, preaching a 60 day extended revival at Word of Life Church. The amazing Christian people we were staying with owned a few banks and gave my son Coree and I very sweet tickets to a St. Louis Rams game. Kurt Warner was quarter back… and that was a year they ended up going to the Superbowl! At St. Louis Family Church we were able to meet Kurt Warner, Ernie Conwell, Isaac Bruce and a few other players who were authentic Christians. Most impressive was Kurt Warner and his wife… amazing people! Their love for God, for each other, and their children… and their compassion for hurting people is as real as it gets!

I few years ago… Kurt Warner was in a career slump and the whole sporting community turned on him. Kurt was kicked to the curb… traded off to the Giants and then to the Cardinals. Nobody really thought they would hear much from this washed up quarterback again… until NOW! Who would have believed that the “Arizona Cardinals” would be going to the super bowl this year? And leading in the QB position: Kurt Warner! Whatever happens at this 2009 superbowl… I am happy that Kurt Warner didn’t let us send him out to graze when he still had another super bowl in him!

The moral to the story is this: We will all experience quite a few slumps in our lifetime. We must never let a few pathetic seasons and a drop in fan confidence force us to an early grave!

Psalms 37:23-24 KJV 23The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. 24Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.”

There is so much inspiration in sports! And I am inspired with Kurt Warner’s comeback story! Check out the Kurt Warner First Things First Website when you get the time… it’s a beautiful thing! I hope you guys have a perfect Saturday… come to Destiny Family Center tomorrow morning at 10am… oh yes, tomorrow is SUNDAY! Chat with you guys throughout the day… odeos for now!

  1. Kurt Warner is such a humble man. When I go through a slump I focus on God and how He is going to use that experience to build someone else up when I make it through due to His help, grace, and mercy. It is all about living from obedience to obedience.

  2. Thats so good man!!! I'm challenged to remember that a winner is just that, not someone who

never falls, but someone who keeps getting back up!
