Happy Friday Everyone!

The big news today is the birthday of my amazing BFF! Emily is sleeping while I write this blog… she’s got her zoro mask on to avoid the desk light… I’m typing as soft as possible. It must not be soft enough… she has four pillows stacked up on top of her head! This blog may need to be short you guys!

We’re still in NC at this amazing conference… although the dinner banquet was torment for us last night. The ministry state of the union address was BEAUTIFUL and the conference leader is one of the most beautiful persons we have even met… it just went on for two hours beyond OUR ability to focus, with low lighting, and a very long time for torturing our hiney cheeks! I felt especially bad for Emily as she reluctantly accepted the invitation on her birthday eve, and lost interest five minutes in. God heal her from the pain of those grueling four hours and let her wake up happy that it’s HER BIRTHDAY!

Thank God that Destiny Family Center recognizes Emily’s birthday. This Sunday, they are receiving a birthday offering! Then on Wednesday night, they are throwing her a party after a very short midweek service. I pray and hope that more people chose to lavish Emily in extravagant ways than ever before… she deserves so much honor… her sacrifices are way beyond what anyone can know! 

I thank God for the day he blessed this earth with Emily Elizabeth Wall… I thank God for the day that she and I met at Walnut Hills Campground… I was 15, she was 13! Emily is the greatest earthly blessing I have EVER received! She is my best friend… she’s always happy… always cheering me on… never ever willing to allow me to throw in the towel on my dreams!

Behind every great man… is a FAR BETTER WOMAN! Emily is the better woman behind this great guy! She is a modern RUTH, willing to go with me to the very gates of hell in order to reach another person for Jesus! Emily is an AMAZING mother to our children… she labors day and night to beautify our HOME environment… she is the perfect shepherd leader and children’s Pastor… she is my greatest councilor, the one who gives me the wisdom behind all of my BIGGEST TOUCHDOWNS in life! This is not a work of flattery… she is all this and so much more!

I am praying for her right now while she sleeps… my eyes glaze over as I consider all she is to me! Thank you Father for the gift of this uncommon woman and friend! If I had married anyone else, I would have failed a very long time ago! I thank you for blessing me with this gift I never deserved! Thank for you the JOY and laughter she brings to my EVERYDAY! Thank you for giving the two of us two beautiful children… and thank you that they both have Emily’s profound whit! She is so BEAUTIFUL… sometimes one glance in her direction and all my problems fade away! I pray that she feel happy when she wakes… that she receives a GIGANTIC birthday offering… that her party on Wednesday night is off the charts! Please make this year special for her. The past 6 years have been abusive to both of us at times… she never complains! Please bless this beautiful woman of God. And I pray this in Jesus name… Amen!
