Happy Snow Day North East Coasters!
To everyone else… I say it’s our turn to be SNOWED in… don’t be jealous… be HAPPY for us! LOL
Yesterday was AMAZING! Even though the attendance was way down because of the snow… we had a POWERFUL time together at Destiny Family Center! AMAZING 10am service… the lunch for our new members was DELICIOUS… Bible College was amazing as well! Then after all of that FUN, I went grocery shopping with Heaven and Emily… (enthusiasm is dropping… I’m having to manufacture energy… better move on!) No, actually it was fun… being with Emily and Heaven… and running into a HUNDRED people we know! Oh… and we bought my new favorite ice cream… Hershey’s Raspberry!
Then at 9pm… we watched the first episode of the Celebrity Apprentice! Don’t judge me… it’s my favorite show EVER! I guess it’s because I have such a GIGANTIC entrepreneurial spirit… I love business with a crazy passion!
What’s amazing to me is how so many celebrities become famous without character. Some of them are so OBVIOUSLY insecure… they have zero people skills… they are arrogant… and many of them lack even the elementary skills of leadership. This shows me that there is real hope for the people who dedicate a decade of their lives to the development of their character!
We really do need a new generation of influencers in the earth today! Whether it’s leading in the political arena… the entertainment arena… the business arena… the ministry arena… or any other highly influential arena. We need and we want men and woman of character standing on the big platforms! So much of the world is losing interest for shallow rockstars. We want leaders with integrity values and balance!
What are you doing with all that influence your wielding my dear bloggers? Have you dedicated a DECADE of your life to the FOCUSED DEVELOPMENT of your own character? Take the time to do this… because whether you know it or not… you and I are all standing on platforms of influence… each of us is INFLUENCING an audience. And the more powerful we become, the more of a blessing or a curse we will be to others! I want to be a BLESSING… a GREAT BIG BLESSING!
Proverbs 25:26 KJV says, “A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring.”
Let us BE powerful people long before we are celebrated as such. The more we are celebrated, the more we must aim to see Jesus Christ shining through our lives! God forbid that any of us should ascend the mountain only to embarrass our Lord out in front of the entire world.

You know what the difference is? We have people “gifts”, people skills can be acquired with coaching and training but people gifts come from care and compassion which can never be taught. This comes from inside the heart of the believer. This is what I see that makes the difference in a true Leader or someone that just holds the title.
I really was ready for the Apprentice. I too like the show, but I couldn't watch it. I can't stand Andrew Dice Clay. I can't believe The Don picked him to be on the show. Let me know when he is fired so I can watch again. LOL.
Character is so important!!! I will write more later.
Yeah… We decided that if he didn't get fired we weren't watching it anymore either. He got fired and we were so happy! That guy is so arrogant.
Yeah thanks for sharing that he did get fired. I will be able to watch now. His arrogance doesn't bother me as much as his mind and how he thinks of people. He is so degrading. He has no clue what God thinks. It is very sad and we need to pray for people of this type of character to be led by the Holy Spirit to become born again. Imagine Andrew Dice Clay Born Again. He has such a following in the negative imagine the following he could bring to Jesus as a positive light?
God has been working on my character in the regards of responsibility. This school year has been harder with paperwork, but God really has shown me the importance of keeping on top of it all and how my acts of responsibility in the smalls things is preparing me for responsibility of the big things. I have been thinking a lot about what God will be having me doing in the new heavens and earth. I believe he is preparing me even now. We must be attentive to our daily responsibilities and follow up on them to the fullest. God expects us to.
