Happy Saturday Everyone!

I stayed up until ALMOST the time I normally wake up every morning… and I am in PAIN this morning! Ouch, the sunlight HURTS… stop making all that noise… ooohhhh, just let me sit here quietly and stop my head from spinning. 

Ok… enough whining Chucky Baby! It’s a beautiful day… shake it off! Get outside and clean off the patio for Coree’s birthday party JUST A FEW HOURS FROM NOW! Come on… snap out of this! You will get to SLEEP again TONIGHT… it’s DAY TIME Charles! LOL

That’s kind of how I talk to myself. You guys ever talk to yourselves?

Self talk is a very important component to living victoriously. We become what we think about all the time! So, in order to become GREAT and STAY great we have to learn how to effectively POLICE our minds!

If we leave our mind to do as it pleases… it will TEAR US UP! This is because our minds have been mostly programmed by the rest of this negative, cynical world. By this time in our lives, we think the way everyone else has trained us to think. Stop it!

Romans  12:2 

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

So then, according to this verse, we need to CHANGE THE WAY WE THINK in order for God to TRANSFORM us into NEW and FAR BETTER PEOPLE! 

Renewing our minds has to do with learning and knowing how God thinks about us… it has to do with FILLING our minds with biblical promises and consciously CANCELING all the destructive thoughts running wild up there! 

Remember the old saying, “An idol mind is the devils playground?” Well, it is! In other words… don’t let your mind do what it feels like… don’t allow your mind to lead you… tell your mind how to think and tell it how to feel! 

Romans 8:5-6 

“Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. ⁶ So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.”

Ok, enough intensive teaching… it’s a SATURDAY everyone! All I want you to do right now is THINK ABOUT WHATEVER YOU’VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT the past few hours and the past few days. Is it leading you to a BEAUTIFUL LIFE or a not so beautiful life? Everything can change REAL FAST just as soon as you RAID YOUR MINDS and make a few arrests! 

Think like God thinks! Think about spiritual things… think as if God is working in your life for your advantage and the advantage of his eternal purposes! Stop thinking like a loser and start thinking like the WINNER that you really are!
