Happy Monday Good People!

My weekend was amazing… hope yours was too. Church at Destiny Family Center was one for the records yesterday. I went home high… and stayed high all day long! 

Mark 4:30-32 Again he (Jesus) said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade.”

I read from Mark this morning and thought to share the wealth of these few verses with my fellow bloggies. So, read it again… and then lets talk! 

A key to unwrapping the mystery here is found in the word “kingdom” as defined in its original language. Basileia in the Greek means: 1) royal power, kingship, dominion, rule… not to be confused with an actual kingdom but rather the right or authority to rule over a kingdom.

In other words… when the royal power, kingship, dominion, and rule of God is PLANTED as a SEED into the soil of a persons HEART… IT GROWS and GROWS and GROWS… until ultimately becoming the LARGEST and MOST INFLUENTIAL aspects of such a persons LIFE! 

When I look at my own life… I simply prayed a 2 minute prayer on February 17th, 1991 at 10:45 pm… and here I am 18 years later with a HUGE TREE OF INFLUENCE GROWING OUT OF ME! I never planned on becoming this fanatical about the things of God. I just wanted to escape my life of sin and secure my spot in eternity. Who could have predicted this MASSIVE TREE from that seed moment! 

From this we see that when the seed of God’s Kingdom is REALLY planted into a soul, it promises to become the biggest part of that persons life. This is exciting because of how amazing it is to LIVE IN THE SCOPE OF GODS ROYAL DOMINION!

We live in a time when good is considered evil, and evil is considered good. The overwhelming tide of society draws people to believe that serving God is a narrow minded pursuit. The god of this age has BLINDED the MINDS of people… so that they cannot understand how glorious it is to WALK IN THE LIGHT OF GODS REALM! 

Our best life is conceived the very day God PLANTS THE SEED OF HIS KINGDOM deep within our hearts! Truly, we have NO IDEA what we shall become as we look into the future from the day of our PLANTING… but we have this confident expectation that SOMETHING IS GROWING WITHIN US far bigger than we can ever imagine! 

Today, spend some time thinking about Gods royal dominion in your own life. Have you really opened your heart for the seed to be planted? Is that seed in need of some tender love and care? God has big plans for us little seeds… plans to make us BIG AND MIGHTY… a GREAT FORCE OF INFLUENCE in our world! And when he gets finished working in our lives… ALL THE BIRDS WILL BE LIVING ON OUR MIGHTY BRANCHES!
