Having a Hard Time Celebrating These Days?

Good Day Everyone!

Victory always hangs on the backdrop of an undesirable, uncontrollable, very painful set of circumstances. Because of this, even victory can feel like defeat when we are not careful to rivet our attention on what is happening front and center!

In life, there are some things we CAN control and MANY things we have no control over whatsoever.

For example: we cannot control the actions of other people… we cannot control how other people will interpret our actions… and we cannot control how other people will react to our actions.

Because of these realities… there will always exist an element of defeat, even in the most beautiful of moments. And we must develop the ability to SEE the victory… TASTE the victory… EMBRACE the victory… WALK OUT the victory without guilt or condemnation… free from the intimidating imagery of the BACKDROP.

If we’re not careful, we will focus so much on the starving people of our world that we will not enjoy the taste of another meal. If we’re not careful, we will focus so much on all the haters in our world, that we will NOT enjoy life with all the LOVERS.

Is there a VICTORY that God has brought about in your world… and you’re just not able to celebrate it as a victory due to the gruesomeness of its backdrop? Stop it! Pray about the things you cannot control… give those things to God… and TRUST that HE IS MIGHTY TO SAVE!

Philippines 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Think on the GOOD THINGS HAPPENING… PRAISE GOD for the good things happening… CELEBRATE without apology… for God has done amazing things… and HE WILL CONTINUE TO DO AMAZING THINGS in your life… because HE LOVES YOU and he is ROOTING FOR YOU!

I pray todays blog adds tremendous value to your amazing life! I just finished praying for you guys and gals… chat with you later!

YOU KNOW I COULD NOT SURVIVE A DAY WITHOUT MY CHEERLEADER ROOTING ME ON EVERY STEP OF THE WAY….GOD RECIEVES THE GLORY EACH MOMENT OF MY LIFE.THE PEOPLE HE SURROUNDS ME WITH ,EACH HAVE A SPECIAL PURPOSE, EVEN IF ITS FOR A BRIEF SECOND OR ETERNITY..THE LOVE AND COMPASSION I HAVE FOR PEOPLE WASN'T BORN IN ME IT WAS TRANSFORMED IN ME THRU JESUS AND TEACHINGS.DEFEAT IS A BAD WORD BUT SO OFTEN A BORN IDENTITY IN EACH OF US,ALL YOU CAN DO IS DOWNPLAY THAT WEAKNESS AND LET THE GLORY TAKE OVER..YEA HAW FOR GLORY AND VICTORY…PAM

  2. This is so true! In every life situation, every thought, every action, we always have a choice – on how we will choose to THINK about what is really going on. What is ….. and what will be… so Phil 4:8 gives us the perfect opportunity to choose good over bad, life over death, positive over negative. We know they both can not exist in the same space!

Thanks for such words of wisdom!

GLORIOUS MORNING PASTOR CHUCK AND FELLOW BLOGGIES. I FIND VICTORY EVERYDAY I WAKE UP BECAUSE OF THE MANY BATTLES OF MY PAST. I AM ALIVE AND GROWING IN CHRIST AND WITH THAT I CAN NOT BE DEFEATED. YOUR BLOG REMINDS ME OF THE PRAYER I PRAY MANY TIMES DURING THE DAY.

SERENITY PRAYER: GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE. THE COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS I CAN AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. AMEN

Wow! The first paragraph was very thought provoking. I myself struggling sometimes, I give him my worries and take them right back.

I need to remember not to. I sometimes over analyse little sittuations and blow them up so big tham overwealming fear and insecurity starts to take over. I try to remind myself that I only need God’s approval. I try to remember that I can’t change the way people perceive me, only how I am presented.

    Thank you:)
    Mel

A lot of times in the midst of circumstances that we are not in control of we tend to think it is our fault that things are going wrong and it’s our problem. We place a lot of blame on ourselves. The only reason I have thought that way is because I have seen myself as a control freak over my own life. Knowing that God is in control of ALL situations and that I am in control over, pretty much, hardly anything is very humbling. Not only have I had to learn to give those situations over to God, but to allow myself to understand that sometimes, it really isn’t my fault and I can’t blame myself. So, I stand in the midst of the storm and raise my hands.

Way to go Chuck and ladies,

    You all rock!!!

Wow! When I look at that picture I cant help but think of "Beauty for Ashes". Today and everyday we are on the threshold of Legacy. My 2nd grandson will probably be born today We can all think of the pain and anquish that cassie will be going through and focus on how all the datails of his birth will be handled, are you bags packed, do you have a name, is your house in order, what can I do to help. There are so many things to consider and think about that we may overlook that today beautiful things are being birthed. Today Legacy is being birthed and I am overjoyed at that thought. God is moving today and everyday and we all get to rejoice at the newness of birth and Im excited to be a part of it all. Not just in my personal family but my church family. I see so many beautiful creations arising from the ashes and I am overjoyed to watch and be a part of it all. Today Legacy is being birthed!!!!

Have a great and awesome day, Tammy

Your blog always gets my heart pumping for Jesus more and more. I just hope each person I encounter sees Him and not me. I hope they are able to realize that I am content because of Him.
