Happy Monday Everyone!

Mondays are SUPPOSED to be my day OFF, whatever that is right? Well, this Monday (today) I am taking most of the day off… to do some much needed YARD WORK. We have to prepare for Coree’s GRADUATION PARTY… it’s THIS SUNDAY at 1pm (everyone is invited)… lots to do before them… work little Chucky… WORK! 

For some odd reason, I just haven’t felt real motivated to take care of my yard this year. I am embarrassed to admit that Emily has been doing most of it so far. I’m kind of dreading all the manual labor this day will bring about… so PRAY FOR ME EVERYONE! 

Got up for church at 5 AM yesterday (to spiritually prepare) after not getting to bed till 12:30 AM (not by choice)… preached at 10:00 AM (beautiful service)… hosted 40 people for lunch at 1 PM (had a blast)… hosted two couples I’m getting ready to marry at 7 PM for some last minute Q & A (had a blast)… went to bed last night at 12:00 AM (exhausted)… I DONT WANT TO DO YARD WORK TODAY… please don’t make me! LOL

Even in the extreme busyness of yesterday, I ended up taking about five minutes to look at all the wildlife in my back yard. I thought about how much the birds LOVE this habitat we have created for them. This one bird flew down to the pond and took a bath… water was splashing EVERYWHERE… he was having so much FUN! Then another bird… and then a few more… all different kinds of birds dropping in for a drink of water and a nice clean bath!

Then I looked at the snails and tad poles just chillin out in the bottom of the pond… and one of our fishes jumped out of the water, the rest of them swimming all over the place having the time of their lives! I noticed the BEAUTIFUL PLANTS… and the bees and the frogs…

Oh, and this one DOVE was sitting on the wire that goes through our back yard… all by herself… just sitting there. Then another dove landed on the wire about three feet away… and he looked over at her… then moved over a few inches! He looked over again… and moved over a few more inches… and then a few more… and a few more… until they were side by side like two little love birds! 

As I was taking this all in… I believe God showed me something beautiful! I was thinking about HOW GOOD IT MAKES ME FEEL to see all these creatures enjoying the WORLD Emily and I HAVE CREATED FOR THEM… and I realized how much GOD must LOVE to watch you and me enjoy the WORLD HE HAS CREATED FOR US!

Luke 12:27-29 Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, HE WILL CERTAINLY CARE FOR YOU. Why do you have so little faith? ”And don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things.

This week… lets try to ENJOY the world God has created for us. Not only the beauties of this physical world, but the environment of friendships, and the other environmental factors GOD has specially crafted into our world… for our enjoyment! Let’s allow GOD to sit back in his chair and watch us ENJOY THE AMAZING LIVES HE HAS GIVEN EACH OF US!

Have a super day everyone… I’m off to SWEAT in my yard so all our guests will better enjoy this little world of ours at Coree’s Graduation Party! LOL
