Becoming Highly Productive People

Happy Tuesday!

Ouch… yard-work… ouch. Yesterday was a hot and painful day in the yard. Getting ready for Coree’s graduation party… IT’S THIS SUNDAY @ 1PM! Sadly, we still have another half of a day (or more) of digging, moving rock, and a few other painful tasks! God be with us… on what the weather man claims will be the hottest day of 2009 so far.

(Ok… enough complaining Chuck! Shut up and be a man. You’re a man, not a mouse… so stop the whimpering. Work Chuck… WORK HARD… you CAN DO IT… your almost finished and then you can go to the office for some nice and easy MIND WORK!)

You guys do realize that I’m only joking about the hard work. Not about the PAIN… that’s REAL… and it REALLY HURTS… very badly… ouch!

The truth is, I LOVE TO WORK! I love pretty much ANY kind of work… pretty much at ANY time of the day or night. I prefer work over rest… I love to be HIGHLY PRODUCTIVE while I’m awake!

Proverbs 10:4 Lazy hands make a man poor, but DILIGENT HANDS bring wealth.

Proverbs 12:24 WORK HARD and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave.

Proverbs 12:27 Lazy people don’t even cook the game they catch, but the DILIGENT make use of EVERYTHING they find.

Proverbs 13:4 Lazy people want much but get little, but those who WORK HARD will prosper.

Proverbs 21:5 Good planning and HARD WORK lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.

Some people wonder if I’m a workaholic. They get scared for me… hinting that I should spend more time resting. While this is probably TRUE, don’t get scared… I’m very careful about BALANCING my life equities. I spend lots and lots of time with my family… doing all kinds of amazing things together with them! I love my family! They know this… and they don’t feel deprived in the least.

I suppose what I’m getting at today… is the drive to be a PRODUCTIVE person.

Here’s a clip from chapter 5 of my coming book (unedited):

“What would happen if every fan of this book started spending two or three fewer hours on our couches every day? What if a half a million of us started spending these newly created hours cleaning and significantly upgrading our personal domains? What if we spent this time learning a new language or taking an online college course… or mowing grass for a widow in our neighborhood, visiting the neglected elderly folks of a local nursing home, or taking food to a struggling family?

Believe me, the lives of the diligent are fun and full! Just beyond that lazy boy recliner, there is a great big world of beautiful people praying for the assistance of someone just like you. So rise up and burn your couches all my little couch potatoes… you’ve been summoned to a lifetime of great adventures!”

Something to think about for sure… leave your comments and have a PRODUCTIVE DAY EVERYONE! We love you all… praying earnestly for Gods HIGHEST BLESSINGS on your lives!
