Good Wednesday!
The Destiny Campus of Life Christian University was beautiful last night… absolutely beautiful! I’m sad this was the final class for a few months… looking forward to the end of August for the class of 2009-2010!
The weirdest thing happened to me last night… I had a friend offer me transformational advice in a DREAM. The experience was so REAL… wouldn’t it be cool if he had the same dream? I’m going to call this friend today during normal awake hours and say thank you!
Ephesians 6:19-20 Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, WORDS MAY BE GIVEN ME so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it FEARLESSLY, as I should.
These verses came alive to me last night and then again this morning. The Apostle Paul ASKING FOR PRAYER… not for his comfort or for some earthly blessing… he wanted his friends to PRAY that GOD would GIVE HIM WORDS for EVERY TIME he opened his mouth… that he would be able to FEARLESSLY keep on declaring Gods words.
Praying for each other is one of the most beautiful gifts we can offer our friends. Can you break down your prayer request to ONE THING today? Think about what’s going on in your life… and if God did this ONE THING… all would be WELL for you!
Even though there are so many things we could ask God for… maybe instead of praying a buffet of prayers, we should FOCUS on ONE THING and go after that with all our hearts.
When God asked King Solomon for anything he wanted: just ONE THING Solomon… just ONE PRAYER REQUEST… what do you want more then ANYTHING ELSE? Solomon asked for wisdom so that he would be ABLE to lead Gods people well -- as the KING of Israel.
1Kings 3:7-9 “Now, O Lord my God, you have made me king instead (or in succession) of my father, David, but I AM LIKE A LITTLE CHILD who doesn’t know his way around. And here I am in the midst of your own chosen people, a nation so great and numerous they cannot be counted! GIVE ME AN UNDERSTANDING HEART so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours?”
If I could reduce my prayer request down to ONE THING today… I suppose I would ask the same thing Paul asked his friends in Ephesians 6:19-20. That I would stay my course with JOY… and that I too would be GIVEN WORDS from the Lord for EVERY TIME I OPEN MY MOUTH… and that I too will be able to keep on FEARLESSLY declaring the Good News about Jesus Christ… that I would NEVER get sidetracked… that I would never lose sight of the prize… that I would always stay true to the heavenly calling on my life. (slightly expanded version)
Leave your ONE THING requests and let us PRAY for each other today! Here’s a video for you to play in the background while praying… have a super day… don’t forget church at Destiny Family Center TONIGHT @ 7PM!

WOW PASTOR CHUCK! AWESOME BLOG, AWESOME SONG AND AWESOME CLASS LAST NIGHT. BY THE WAY, I SLEPT BETTER LAST NIGHT THEN I HAVE IN A WEEK.
AS FOR YOUR BLOG, I CAN THINK OF A MILLION PRAYERS FOR EVERYONE AROUND ME BUT TO THINK OF MYSELF AND ONE PRAYER THAT WOULD MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER IS SO HARD FOR ME. I HAVE A WORLD THAT SEEMS TO BE CRUMBLING AROUND ME BUT I FEEL STRONG. MY “ARMOUR” HAS MORE DENTS IN IT THEN A DEMOLITION DERBY CAR BUT I KNOW ALL WILL BE WELL. AFTER LAST NIGHTS CLASS(WOW) AND A VERY REFRESHING NIGHTS SLEEP, I FEEL LIKE A GREAT WARRIOR. I’VE ALREADY TAKEN THE GIRLS TO SCHOOL, WHILE LISTENING TO SPIRIT FM, PRAYED, TILLED A 5′ x 30′ PLOT IN MY GARDEN, WHILE PRAYING, LOADED MY TILLER UP FOR A FRIEND TO BORROW, PRAYED, AND NOW I’M HEADING OUT TO FEED THE CHICKENS AND HORSES AND PICK UP THE MULTITUDE OF GRASS PILES OFF OF ABOUT 2 ACRES OF YARD.. YEEHAA. MY OFFER STILL STANDS THOUGH, IF YOU NEED ANY HELP WITH YOUR PARTY YARD PREP, I AM AVAILABLE. VICKIE HAS MY NUMBER.
THANKS AGAIN FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE THE AUTHORITY OF THE BELIEVER CLASS. LIFE CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY IS AN AWESOME PLACE FOR ANYONE WHO HAS A DESIRE TO LEARN WHO THEY ARE IN CHRIST TO FIND OUT. I RECIEVED SUCH BLESSINGS IN ONE CLASS AND CAN ONLY IMAGINE THE TRANSFORMATION TAKING THE FULL TWO YEAR STUDY CAN DO FOR SOMEONE. THANK YOU AGAIN. I THANK GOD FOR YOU, FOR VICKIE AND BO, FOR DFC AND EVERYONE THERE, I THANK HIM FOR THE MOUNTAINS HE HAS MOVED TO GET ME WHERE I AM TODAY BUT MOST OF ALL I THANK HIM FOR HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST, FOR ONLY THROUGH HIM COULD ANY OF THIS BE POSSIBLE.
Oh Lisa, You had to make me cry today, didn’t ya!
Yes, Last night’s class was beyond words! How Pastor Chuck started with a teaching from the syllabus about putting on the Armor of God and how powerful words are, thoughts are and the whole unseen spiritual world around us when God started POWERFULLY coming alive through the teaching.
I knew Lisa was going to start crying before I started looking for the tissues. You know the power of prayer! Think about at the beginning of class and I WON’T mention what it was about (that should stay in confidence for many reasons) but we prayed specifically for a positive result and God was honoring that prayer immediately and throughout that night) I believe He will continue to answer the prayer and that last night was the beginning of new and positive things to come.
I agree with Lisa that bible college has been an added blessing to me. I would encourage anyone to attend when we start classes again.
I thank you Pastor Chuck for all your time and effort you personally put into teaching these classes. You make the classes come alive with your teachings and your experiences.
Thank you so much for all you do!
And Lisa, you are awesome! keep on girl:) We love you guys!
one prayer..one prayer…tough one but it would be for complete healing for myself and those around me…spiritual and flesh..simple enough— and say it is done in his name the almighty who answers all…
