The Treasury of The Heart

Good Morning!

I’ve been sitting here at my computer for way to long this morning, trying to come up with something to blog about. So, I just figured that if I began… something would flow out of my heart.

Ok… nothing yet… hmmmm…. still nothing… (picking up my Bible and reading some more, filling my heart with some really good things)… ok, here we go, let’s try this!

Matthew 12:33-35 (Jesus speaking) “A tree is identified by its fruit. If a tree is good, its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad. You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For WHATEVER IS IN YOUR HEART determines what you say. A good person produces good things from the TREASURY OF A GOOD HEART, and an evil person produces evil things from the TREASURY OF AN EVIL HEART.”

Let’s talk about THE TREASURIES OF A GOOD and EVIL HEART.

Treasury is defined as: a place in which stores of wealth are kept; the place of deposit and disbursement of accumulated funds.

Whether we are conscious of this or not, our HEART is A PLACE IN WHICH STORES OF WEALTH ARE KEPT… a place of DEPOSIT and DISBURSEMENT of ACCUMULATED FUNDS.

Over the years of our lives, we make millions of conscious and unconscious deposits into our hearts. Everything we SEE, FEEL, TASTE, TOUCH, and HEAR… every pain and pleasure we experience… everything we read… everything we watch on TV… every thought we play over and over in our minds… they are the STORES OF WEALTH we accumulate into our HEART TREASURY.

Therefore, whatever a person DEPOSITS INTO HIS HEART always comes out of his LIFE as a DISBURSEMENT of HIS ACCUMULATED FUNDS. There is no way to withdraw something that has not been deposited… one can ONLY DISPERSE from the overflow of his own HEART TREASURY.

We should become far more conscious about the THINGS we DEPOSIT into our HEART TREASURY. When we fill our hearts up with GOOD things… GOOD things flow out effortlessly, as beautiful actions all day long. When we fill our hearts up with evil things… evil things flow out effortlessly, as destructive actions all day long.

No matter how much we try to act differently from what is in our heart, we will always default back to the majority investment we’ve deposited in the treasury. The only way to change our actions is to change our heart… and the only way to change our heart is to start making better deposits!

Cut off the flow of crap entering into your life. Raise your television standards, your friendship standards, your magazine standards, and your internet surfing standards! Take the next 90 days and DEPOSIT A WEALTH OF BEAUTIFUL THINGS INTO YOUR TREASURY… then watch what starts coming out of your life by this fall!

Proverbs 4:23 Guard your heart above all else, for it DETERMINES the course of your life.

I pray that todays bog adds tremendous value to your amazing lives! Please leave your comments… I love to read them all! Church tonight 7pm @ Destiny Family Center

The Bible teaches that our speech mirrors our heart (Matt. 12: 31-35). The heart is urgently important, but the heart can be wrong – if not guided by God’s word (Prov. 28: 26).

I pray that today we fill our hearts with God’s truth!!!! I pray will fill our hearts forever with God’s truth…. actually not just today.

I know how vile things can come out of our hearts when we fill them with things of this world and I saw how much pain it caused others. I am honored to serve the most High God and to be walking in the light of this truth. I refuse to be ruled by this world and its ways. I will store up God in my heart and His truth!!!

I hope you have a funnerrific day today and that you continue to increase the kingdom!!!!!

    You’re awesome!!!!
