Happy Saturday!
Vacation is over… we head for home sweet home once the family wakes up. I’m kind of sad… love the beach and love the quality time with my family. The time has gone by so fast and my kids are growing up so fast. I just hope we’re able to continue this tradition as Coree and Heaven launch out to start their own families. (not for a few more years of course)
Last night, Coree and I went to the turtle lake just before dark. We fed the turtles one last time… had just as much fun as we did 15 years ago when he was 3. And of course you know Coree by now… he had us both pick one up! (photo) It was a great memory!
Coree asked to read my blog from yesterday on the ride home… the blog about himself… he laughed at the part when I talked about trading my iphone for his Spiderman camera. We had a few REALLY good chats on this trip… I cherish that!
Life is about memories… it’s measured in moments. We need to recognize those moments… and turn them into memories!
I believe it’s Leonard Ravenhill who once said, “The opportunity of a Lifetime must be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity!”
In everyday life, there are MOMENTS… everyday, there are OPPORTUNE MOMENTS waiting to be SEIZED… waiting to be TURNED INTO MEMORIES!
So we need to pay attention to our everyday lives… and live adventurously… be fearless… willing to take risks… vulnerable… transparent… creative.
I wonder: what kind of MEMORY can come out of this beautiful Saturday for you? Instead of lying around the house complaining that there is nothing to do… or lowering expectations because you have to work today… SIZE UP THE MOMENT WITH EYES OF FAITH. See what you haven’t seen before… right there in the same routine… there is a MEMORY waiting to happen!
I pray that today’s short blog triggers a future MEMORY for you guys! Even though we are TRAVELING home from vacation… I’m looking for our moment… or moments! I’m ready to make this day ONE FOR THE RECORDS!
Oh… and guess what?! I am speaking at Destiny Family Center tomorrow morning… if you can’t drive, fly, or walk… watch it online @ 10am! Please leave your comments… and have a memorable day!
