Getting Back on Top!

Happy Wednesday!

Announcement: My family invites you to join our twitter and facebook VACATION PHOTO TOUR (photo of Coree catching a Ghost crab last night at the Avon Pier)… I’m updating our status with new photos every few hours throughout most of our vacation. See you there…

I pray you guys woke up with great hope this morning. No matter what you’re facing… your mountains can move, things can change in a few days time… and until then, Jesus promised that he would NEVER leave you!

There is something so beautiful about living AWARE of God’s presence. Every day I’m on vacation, is another day I’m able to see and feel God more clearly than I have these past few months. Sometimes, life gets too complicated and demanding for us to experience God as we potentially can.

This is what I love about vacation. I’m afforded the opportunity to STEP OUT of my arena for a week or two… I UNPLUG from the matrix and see life as it really is!

Painful situations, misguided people, broken things… they pound at us like the relentlessness of the oceans waves… just waiting for us to wear out… and when the moment is just right, they go for the kill.

Everything we see today in this material world… everything is temporary. It’s all subject to CHANGE! And yet, somehow these temporary settings we are placed within, they ebb away at our authority… they gain so much CONTROL over us… until we forget how to dream… our world narrows over time.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light and MOMENTARY TROUBLES are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is SEEN, but on what is UNSEEN. For what is seen is TEMPORARY, but what is unseen is ETERNAL.

We are not supposed to live UNDER the control of anything from this temporary world. We are not supposed to be manipulated by power, or money, or the fear of loss, or the fear of people, or the embarrassment of persecution, or the discouragement of a temporary set back, or any other thing.

Proverbs 29:25 Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever TRUSTS in the Lord is kept safe.

1 John 4:18 Such love has NO FEAR, because PERFECT LOVE EXPELS ALL FEAR. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.

My prayer for you guys today: is that you would be FREED from the tyranny of your temporary setting. Remember… it’s all SUBJECT TO CHANGE… and you are that CATALYST of change for your world! I pray that each of my friends would experience the perfect love of God right now… that every FEAR would FADE AWAY… that you guys and gals would have NEW EYES for BREAKTHROUGHS and BREAKTHROUGH INNOVATIONS… that your Spirit would be KING over your soul and body… and God’s Spirit would LEAD YOU into your FINEST MOMENT EVER!

I hope today’s blog adds tremendous value to your amazing lives! Don’t forget about church at Destiny Family Center tonight… Dave Harman is the speaker and I will be ONLINE lovin every minute of it! Have a super day… I gotta go start cooking my world famous loaded pancakes… we’re hosting Em’s family this morning! Leave your comments…

Amen to that!!! Fear is a dangerous thing and we have to walk by faith. Fear choked the life out of me for 8 months, but once I got my breakthrough by ceaselessly believing God had a plan and studying His word I truly learned that fear cannot exist in my relationship with Him.

I can see how "focus" has everything to do with fear and dicouragement… I'm glad you have disconnected from the frusrtations of one arena, and have been able to focus on what God really intended your world to look like…the bigger picture. Reminds me of what an Art Instructor told me once about being too close to the work, focusing on one tiny element and over-working it and over-scrutinizing it until total frustration sets in! May as well pitch the whole painting! The teacher suggested taking a step back…maybe ten steps back…maybe going away from it for a day or two. I think the flow of creativity became blocked due to fear of not being able to control the scene. I'm beginning to realize God wants to use us to create HIS beautiful scene and then loves us enough to allow us to live in it!

Wow, what a beautiful blog and what an amazing picture of a comment too Kristin! It's like learning to look at the "bigger picture in life".

We are at the beach too enjoying all the beauty of waves and sand too! I love it!

Kristin thank you so much for your thoughts. I really gained a lot from your post. I pray that we all take time to step back and become renewed.
