Thanks Pastor, you're right, it is all about choices, isn't it? I know there are plenty of painful memories, scary memories, bitter ones...that we all deal with, but God gave every one of us the OPPORTUNITY for RICHNESS OF LIFE. To love, interact, to commune, to MAKE memories of our choosing.
Memories are powerful things. The recalling of pleasant memories has even been a catalyst of forgiveness and repaired broken relatonships.(especially the comical ones...it's too hard to hate someone when you're laughing at them!.....with them,:))
Funny, when on a vacation, we may be constantly aware of the "tape" in our minds-- recording so we can rewind and watch later-- we want it to be GOOD! But in day to day life, at the end of the hour, have we recorded anything worth watching? Have we allowed ourselves to be a precious recording in someone else's memories?
Everyone! Take Pastor Chuck's challenge! Don't keep yourselves to yourselves! "There is a memory waiting to happen"!

I am reminded of the lyrics to a song that I alway's thought was particularly poignant. Memories, pressed between the pages of my mind
Memories, sweetened thru the ages just like wine

Quiet thought come floating down
And settle softly to the ground
Like golden autumn leaves around my feet
I touched them and they burst apart with sweet memories,
Sweet memories

Of holding hands and red bouquets
And twilight trimmed in purple haze
And laughing eyes and simple ways
And quiet nights and gentle days with you

Memories, pressed between the pages of my mind
Memories, sweetened thru the ages just like wine,
Memories, memories, sweet memories

Last night I chatted with a friend/family member I hadn't talked to in a long long time. We talked about how when we would hang out and how much we laughed. I told him that I still laugh a lot because my husband, Randy, is hilarious. Randy doesn't even mean to be funny at times and I crack up laughing. My friend/family member shared this with me on hope....heavenly opportunities presented everyday. I was like wow. After reading your blog this morning I saw he was on facebook and I was like what did you say hope stood for because I wanted to share it. You are so right moments are presented to us each day and instead of breezing on by them we need to embrace them and turn aside to see like Moses did at the burning bush.

Have a safe trip home and can't wait to see what memories you make today!!!!

Pastor, I think this has to be my most favorite blog yet of yours!! It speaks what is in my heart everyday I live!

This is why photography is such a living, breathing, passion for me because it takes those moments in life and freezes them for a lifetime and the generations to follow. Looking through life through a different lens (the camera) allows me to capture things in life that a lot of people might rush by in life just simply by not taking the time to STOP and SMELL the roses so to say.

We are in Baltimore today and will take in the sights of the Harbor!!! See you tomorrow morning!

We can't wait to ingest all you have to share with us when returning!
