Happy Wednesday!
I just cleaned out 435 REAL MESSAGES from my email inbox. My fingers were like: delete, forward, reply, delete, delete, reply, forward, forward, delete, delete! It was so much fun!
Why didn’t I do this WEEKS ago? You see I haven’t set up folders for my laptop yet… and so, I’ve just been keeping all important emails uncategorized and in my inbox. It’s pretty stressful having to sift through 435 messages to find necessary information.
So, this morning, I decided to handle each email ONE MORE TIME and either: reply then delete; or forward then delete; or just delete! You should try the same and see how YOU feel afterwards!
Unfinished projects have a way of sticking around for way to long… don’t they? I’m talking about little tasks that would only take 2 minutes to wipe from our lives FOREVER… and yet, some of us… some of the time… we get lazy and we let things BUILD UP… and we get BOGGED down to a screeching halt over the CLUTTER.
Do you have heaping pile of house and yard tasks desperately waiting for your tender love and care… and your just too overwhelmed to GET THE PROJECTS UNDERWAY? Have a pile of messages to return or people to meet with… and you’re overwhelmed?
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us THROW OFF EVERYTHING THAT HINDERS and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
Dedicate an hour or two for CLUTTER REMOVAL each day over the next few days… or as long as it takes. Throw aside everything that hinders! Sit down, get organized, make a comprehensive list… schedule a few CLUTTER REMOVAL APPOINTMENTS… and clean up your environment!
I’m talking about closets and dressers and garages and sheds and desks and voice mailboxes and email inboxes… START SOMEWHERE and be AGGRESSIVE about this until your world is brought into BALANCE and TRANQUILITY!
Trust me, life is a MILLION TIMES more enjoyable when we are PRODUCTIVE people!
In Genesis chapter one, God looked out over earth when she was a shapeless chaotic blob of energy and matter… and with his FAITH, he ORDERED this UNIVERSE! God TOOK CHARGE and made things the way they were supposed to be!
We too, have the power to ORDER our lives… we too have the FAITH to turn our shapeless chaotic blobs of energy and matter into highly desirable habitations!
Let us not settle with messes and miseries… let us not live another day under the punishment of unnecessary chaos! Pray for new STRENGTH, pray for a STRATEGY, create a realistic SCHEDULE… HURRY UP… go make the kind of world you don’t need to go on a vacation to escape from!
