He Asked Me 2 Ask Him 4 His Heart!

Happy Wednesday!

Finally heard from the mother ship (God) about my Re-Up 09 message for this coming Sunday night! I’d say I’m only about 30% finished with the outline so far… and its already made my eyes water something like FIFTEEN TIMES! Powerful stuff you guys! Mix this message together with all the bands and dramas and Nathan Bain’s Saturday night message and all the beautiful teens and area youth leaders and area young adults… AND you get the start up of a JESUS MOVEMENT! Maybe:Hopefully:Prayerfully!

If we have the turnout and the weather cooperates… we’ll have the potential of doing something BEAUTIFUL for this county!

Yesterday, when I was sitting in my office with a blank computer screen looking for a starting point for this Re-Up 09 message: I began by Googling all the youth news I could find. I went through articles with recent stats about the real condition of todays youth population… read about a few of the Jesus youth movements of the past 100 years… and I prayed and then read some more, searching after Gods HEART for this event.

During that message building session… I felt God blow into the room in an unexpected kind of way! He interrupted my thorough study now well underway… and He asked ME to ASK HIM for HIS HEART for the YOUTH PEOPLE of this world!

So, thats what I did… and that’s what I’m going to spend the next few days doing!

I’m asking God to give me His heart for the youth people of this world! And God kind of promised me that if I do this: if I catch Father Gods HEART for these youth people, that I will be able to look them in the eyes and FREE THEM Sunday night!

Isn’t this true with every successful ministry session? We make the biggest difference when we REACH to people with GODS HEART.

In the book of John 10:13-14 Jesus talks about the differences between TRUE shepherds and hired helpers. The hired hand runs away because he’s working only for the money and doesn’t REALLY CARE about the sheep. “I am the good shepherd; I KNOW my own sheep, and they KNOW me…” True Shepherds REALLY CARE and true shepherds REALLY KNOW the HEART and true condition of their sheep.

Proverbs 27:23 “Be sure you KNOW the condition of your flocks, give CAREFUL ATTENTION to your herds.”

I want to CARE more today than I did yesterday… more tomorrow than I do today! He asked me 2 ask him 4 his heart… and this, I pass on to the rest of the tribe!

I hope todays blog adds tremendous value to your amazing lives! Please leave your comments and have a most outstanding Wednesday!

    Pastor Chuck!

This reminds me of something that really touched me about a week ago. While I was praying this popped out of my mouth, “I want to love YOU like you love ME.” I don’t remember planning on saying that but I did and it made me realize how much closer I could be with him. And what’s more important is that I’m the only one limiting our relationship.

This blog caught Kelly’s attention and interest, and we plan to attend Re-Up-09 Saturday night. It made me think about the song “less of me, Lord, more of You”, and then I thought about the surrogate thing again. We may not have surrogates, but we are Christ’s surrogates, and we are to be about the Father’s business, and acting like Jesus. With His example, His instruction, His empowerment, we are to go out into the world and perform His will, not our own. We are His surrogates! When I get all into me and my plans, I don’t accomplish much, if anything, and sometimes I even make a royal mess of things, but if I were to totally submit to the Father’s will and act like Jesus’ surrogate, oh the magnificent things I could do. The only legacy I really want to leave is Jesus’ legacy. Yes, I want to have the heart of Jesus.
Look forward to seeing you Saturday.

I think youth need to know that forgiveness is not optional. I also think they need to know that despite their relationship with their earthly father that they can have a meaningful relationship with their heavenly father. Youth are so underestimated and need to know that people care!!!!! What a way to express your heart Chuck.

I wish i had caught the webcast. This girl was snoozing like a baby by 7 PM. The rain and the long week has me wore out. I will catch it in the archives and comment. I need more energy so I can stay up for Wed. nights. I can see where people would walk out upgraded from a message about this blog. Another things teens need to hear is that sex is not the way to find peace, love, and joy. They need to understand what a soul tie is and that it can hurt them to get involved with someone sexually because they will have that tie until it is broken spiritually. I never understood that until Randy and I had a discussion before we got married. Soul ties are for marriage alone and I have a burden for youth to enjoy life and love as God meant them to. I think a message like this from a man is more powerful than from a woman because teens needs a manly godly figure to look up to on this subject. I am praying that God will move mountains, negative attitudes, lying spirits, and condemnation as you gather together to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. We love ya.
