Drinking Down the Kool-aide of Hope!

Happy Monday!

I love Mondays… they are supposed to be my day of REST and even though I end up working on most of them, it still feels good knowing that I CAN REST if I want to without feeling guilty. Just like today… Emily is going to work, so I’m planning to WRITE most of the day… try to ENHANCE this book of mine a little more!

Yesterday was another epic Sunday @ Destiny Family Center… I was still receiving testimonial messages about the effectiveness of that service late into the evening! I wish the whole world could have been in that service.

Today, November 2, 2009 is the day my departed Mom would have been 58 years old. I so wish she was still alive and here with me. I would take her to the Natural Bridge Safari and then to some nice place for lunch. And we would LAUGH a hundred times or more! I miss you mom… even though you’re in heaven and I’m so happy about that, I’ve needed you so much this year. God is making me strong in those places I leaned on you… life was just so much easier when you were propping me up. You had the MOST AMAZING gift of encouragement… and you ALWAYS made ME feel like a champion! I still have Emily and the kids and family and a boat load of friends… there’s just no replacing MOM. Have a great day doing whatever you’re doing… please tell everyone up there hi for me. I’m gonna get back to running my race… and before you know it, we’ll all be together again! Happy Birthday Mom!

I getting pretty stoked about tomorrow’s elections… absolutely convinced about who I’m voting for… praying to God that everyone else in this nation will vote with FORESIGHT. I’m very concerned about the direction we’re heading in right now… hoping and praying the American people will snap out of the trance… and see the hand-writing on the wall. It’s like we’re coming under the power of some evil spell… and masses of people are buying in to the promise of hope, unable to SEE what’s really going on. Open our eyes God, so we can SEE.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12

1 Now, dear brothers and sisters, let us clarify some things about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and how we will be gathered to meet him. 2 Don’t be so easily shaken or alarmed by those who say that the day of the Lord has already begun. Don’t believe them, even if they claim to have had a spiritual vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us. 3 Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed-the one who brings destruction. 4 He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God.

5 Don’t you remember that I told you about all this when I was with you? 6 And you know what is HOLDING HIM BACK, for he can be revealed only when his time comes. 7 For this lawlessness is already at work secretly, and it will remain secret until the one who is HOLDING IT BACK steps out of the way. 8 Then the man of lawlessness will be revealed, but the Lord Jesus will kill him with the breath of his mouth and destroy him by the splendor of his coming.

9 This man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles. 10 He will use every kind of EVIL DECEPTION to fool those ON THEIR WAY TO DESTRUCTION, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them. 11 So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and THEY WILL BELIEVE THESE LIES. 12 Then they will be condemned for ENJOYING EVIL rather than BELIEVING THE TRUTH.

In these verses, the Apostle Paul is describing the END OF THIS AGE. He says that one SIGN of the end is that God will STOP HOLDING BACK the DECEIVER… and that a STRONG DELUSION will come over the earth. It’s like the ENTIRE earth will come under a SPELL it cannot break. The spell will fall on EVERYONE who is already on their way to destruction… they will not be able to shake loose from its power.

The worse thing about deception is NOT KNOWING WE ARE DECEIVED. And if a person IS DECEIVED, he is ONLY DECEIVED because there was something already in his heart LONGING FOR THE ILLUSION. And according to Paul, this will be the condition of so many people in the end. They will come under a SPELL that offers freedom… and it will hypnotize the masses with counterfeit power and signs and miracles… the whole of society will feel as if HUMAN CIVILIZATION is trying to EVOLVE… and that Christian people stand in the way of this evolution.

We can see this happening in America and throughout the entire world… people no longer want to live accountable to God. The global community longs for a system that appeals to its godless desires… and so we drink down the potion without one once caution!

Pretty scary stuff, isn’t it? Sounds like I need to get out of this house and go find something HAPPY TO DO. Yet, this message is all truth… and whether we face the truth or not, the SPELL IS FALLING.

So, here’s my advice: NOW is the time to BE FAR more serious about your relationship with Jesus Christ than ever before! NOW is the time to READ YOUR BIBLE DAILY and actually internalize its VALUES. NOW is the time to start up a DAILY prayer routine! NOW is the time to find a good church and actually ATTEND (more than once a month). NOW is the time to FUND good ministries and VOTE for the right politicians!

Don’t buy into the secular progressive ILLUSION… instead, hold TIGHTLY to the traditional VALUES handed down to you and I from the forefathers of a thousand generations. Pray for massive reform in the Christian church… pray for the GREATEST AWAKENING of ALL TIME… to HURRY UP AND COME SAVE OUR WORLD.

I hope todays blog creates an increased hunger for Spiritual things and a heightened awareness of the times we are living in. May this message INSPIRE GREAT HOPE for the ones of us who are BORN TO BUILD TOMORROW’S BETTER WORLD!
