And knowing my words add tremendous value to so many people EVERY DAY… leaves me breathless!

For the first time in several years, we were forced to cancel services at Destiny Family Center due to the snow! Up until yesterday afternoon, I was still trying to find a way for us to meet. Here is why…

14 Reasons I Wanted 2 Have Church Today!

1. Because I love my church family so much… it hurts so bad knowing I won’t see them this morning!
2. Because I’ve prepared one of the most MOTIVATIONAL sermons of my ministerial life!
3. Because I wanted to finish inspiring my friends on to the Holiest Jolliest Christmas ever!
4. Because our church really needs the offering! lol
5. Because we were going to give four wheeler sled rides to all the kids!
6. Because we were going to sing Christmas carols!
7. Because I wanted to inspire our gigantic internet audience over the LIVE broadcast!
8. Because I really wanted to SING and PRAISE like a crazy person with my church buds!
9. Because there is NOTHING like the blessing of Gods PRESENCE like we’ve been encountering lately!
10. Because I didn’t want to interrupt the unprecedented momentum our church has been RIDING since mid August!
11. Because I need to get out of the HOUSE! lol
12. Because as the Pastor, I usually get a bunch of cards and gifts on the Sunday before Christmas! And I love the ENCOURAGEMENT! lol
13. Because I wanted to hit Ryan Huffer & Jimmy Floyd with a giant snow ball!
14. Because I just love EVERYTHING about Destiny Family Center right now… I’m ADDICTED and I need a FIX! (smile)

This is the weirdest thing you guys! For the first time in my Christian life, I feel THIS down about not having church! It’s like when two people first FALL IN LOVE and they have to see each other EVERY DAY! I feel LOVESICK for my church family!

If you live in the Northeast USA and your church has canceled services due to the weather… I do hope you feel this LOVESICK too! It’s one of the greatest feelings EVER, longing to be somewhere because you FEEL SO LOVED! I’m SERIOUS about this… every WORD OF IT!

1. God & Family: Have a devotional time with your family! Someone pick a scripture and everyone chat about it! Then take turns praying!
2. Friends: Call 5-10 of your church friends to see how they’re getting along? This could open the day to all kinds of possibilities!
3. The World: Dedicate an hour to check on your neighbors… walk around in your snow gear and do a few good deeds!

They say absence really makes the heart grow fonder! I suppose we will just be ALL THE MORE APPRECIATIVE of our next gathering! And HEY, for DFC that would be this coming Wednesday night! On the day BEFORE Christmas Eve… we’re having the Destiny Family Center annual Christmas party! Starts at 7pm… and I think everyone is supposed to bring some kind of food and a $5 wrapped gift if you plan to participate in the gift exchange.
