Happy Tuesday!

Three days to Christmas. Everybody doing ok? Are you sure? I really care and I’m really praying for you this morning! When I wrote yesterdays blog, I had no idea how much of a RIGHT NOW message it would turn out to be! All day long, I kept getting all of these bizarre discouraging thoughts… and instead of letting them dominate my world, I went back to, ‘Urgent Vision: 4 More Days 2 a Perfect Christmas!‘ The blog really helped… so thank you God!

Give YOURSELF the Gift of Blessing Someone Else!

Acts 20:35 And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Last night, we held a silent auction for a local family that recently lost their house in a fire. Felt good being a small part of that charitable event. I pray God takes our expression of love and mixes it with a hundred more just like it, and blesses that family with a Merry Christmas.

It’s amazing how much better we feel about our own lives EVERY time we do something GOOD for someone else!

Yesterday, my Redneck Chef (Kevin Myers) dropped off a Christmas basket with homemade jellies (blueberry, peach, and candy apple) and bread. He’s such a kind man! When I walked out to his truck to thank his wife, I found she had just gotten back from her kidney dialysis treatment… and here they were dropping off a Christmas gift to their Pastor! I hope Kevin & Pam know how much that WARMED my heart!

Think about this ALL DAY LONG today… look around… who’s hurting? who’s lonely? who’s had the roughest year anyone can imagine? who’s got it so much worse than you do? Reach out and WATCH how much CHEER rushed back into your own HEART! There is someone in EVERY circle waiting to BLESS YOU as YOU REACH OUT and BLESS THEM.

Tomorrow night is the annual Destiny Family Center Christmas party! Everyone is supposed to bring something yummy and a $5 gift for the gift exchange… and we’ll be having all kind of fun together!
