Merry Christmas Day After!

Make sure you guys read yesterdays Christmas blog: Jesus Came 2 My House… it was very spiritual, very powerful… especially if you get to read it when you’re all alone and when you can spend some time praying afterwards. Really make some time today to prepare yourself for tomorrows church service at Destiny Family Center (or wherever you may be attending). I’ve still have that revival feeling…

I can’t describe to you how many tickling butterflies I have in my spiritual gut right now–about tomorrows service AND THE ENTIRE NEXT YEAR!

Yesterday, we Balsamo’s had the very best Christmas of our lives. We began by reading Luke 1 & 2 and praying together… and what a blessing that was! Our kids were so GRACIOUS and LOVING on the humblest Christmas morning they’ve known. Wow, they understand the real meaning of the season as well as it can be understood!

Emily was more beautiful than ever, her love for me was the greatest gift any man could ever wish for. We had such a great Christmas Eve with my family and then a great Christmas Day with hers.

Emily’s dad spent Christmas Eve in the hospital, and then miraculously made it home for the Christmas festivities… with a GREAT SMILE and his selfless LOVE for the family!

We cherished Merle so much more this year, in light of his unimaginable recent health challenges. Merle’s RELENTLESS FAITH witnesses to us all: that God can still move mountains! Thank God for the gift of another Christmas with one of the greatest men alive today! Every time I’m with Merle, I CATCH SOMETHING that makes me a far better person!

Story of the Vanishing iTunes Gift Card

As always, Emily’s brothers had us laughing to tears… this year it was all about little Timothy Wall’s MISPLACED itunes gift card! Apparently, while Emily was relocating Timothy’s gift pile, one of his gift cards mysteriously VANISHED into thin air!

After TWO hours of searching and sassing, and barking and growling, and pinching and biting and pulling hair, and laughing hysterically, and TEARING THAT HOUSE APART… the itunes card MYSTERIOUSLY reappeared on the upstairs computer desk.

We may never get to the bottom of that story… and it doesn’t really matter, because the FUN WAS HAD! Poor little Emily was a pretty stressed about all the BLAME she had to TOLERATE and all the TRASH she had to sift through trying to find the missing gift card… but in the end Emily’s honor was RESTORED, I was THRILLED to be out of the WALL FAMILY HOT SEAT for ONE Christmas… and we all lived happily ever after! lol
