Stories & Thoughts About the Holiest, Jolliest Christmas Ever!

Happy Monday!

Here’s a facebook message I received about yesterdays church service @ Destiny Family Center. It’s just ONE of MANY such facebook, email, text, and voice mail messages sent to me from 1pm yesterday through 5am this morning! There is no greater joy for any of us, than to KNOW that our life and teachings ADD TREMENDOUS VALUE to others!

Chuck it’s 5am and I am wide awake! I have been awake since 2am praying for everyone who came forward yesterday morning (she’s talking about at the end of the message-we prayed for people). Your message was awesome, I know of 4 people I am going to suggest that they watch the service online: my mom and sister being 2 of them, as my sister has tried to take her life before.

You will never know how much my life has been changed by you and Dave Harman and the others praying for me that night (we prayed for this lady a few months ago about overcoming depression-and it seems to have worked!). I am in awe that during that song at the end of the service I was dancing and praising God instead of crying!

Even when the storms try to come my way I am now so well equipped with bible verses and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7)… I love saying that I have a sound mind to get through them (the storms)! Thanks for all you and Emily do… I know its’ not easy. I pray that you have the best week ever and that you feel God’s presence all week and that he blesses you abundantly.

Thank you for reminding me that Im amazing and beautiful, and that I matter to God, and that he loves me so very much… WOW I am so excited and full of energy!!! Red bulls can’t even come close to what I am experiencing lol… Have a super day!

You are very welcome, kind lady! And all the other kind men and ladies who shared their appreciation for that message! My big prayer for you all this morning… is that the victory your experienced yesterday will transcend EMOTIONS and continue on in each of you as a NEW and LASTING SPIRITUAL POSITION!

If you missed that message, catch it @ DFC Media sometime this week!

Come Visit Destiny Family Center!

Yesterdays service was profound in so many ways! In fact, so has EVERY service (been profound in so many ways) since the middle of August! I really don’t think I’m “crying wolf” here when I announce the rising sense of revival going on right now.

From recent conversations with a few of my Pastor friends, it’s become increasingly apparent… that similar things are happening in various places around the world. If your bored with your relationship with God these days, consider traveling to Destiny Family Center for a Sunday service! We’re not the next big thing yet, and we’re still sloppy in so many ways… but there is no denying the DIFFERENCE!

One of the musicians from our worship team came to the church a few weeks ago on a work day. Here’s what he had to say, “I had to come to the church [it was for something to do with his instrument]… and when I opened the doors of the sanctuary, MY EYES STARTED WATERING! It felt as if God was just sitting in there WAITING for whoever dropped in! And I was overtaken with a reality of God’s presence… so much that I almost could not walk!”

Please don’t get all freaked out and think I’m claiming the Virgin Mary’s image is imprinted on the wall of our sanctuary. I’m just saying, that there are times when ministry is a grind… and worship is a grind… and prayer is a grind… and sharing our faith is a grind. And then there are TIMES LIKE THIS, when everything is easy… and when the current is so pronounced that few can deny its beautiful, loving attraction.

I wonder what would happen if hundreds of revival seekers from all over the world, spontaneously streamed into Stuarts Draft for next Sundays service? Maybe we could have the very first CHRISTMAS REVIVAL of all time! What a happy dream!

We might not have the influence to make it happen this year… but it’s coming! My eyes will live to see the greatest awakening of all time! I pray yours will too!

Being Rich Where It Really Matters!

I thank God for the things he is doing in our lives and in our church right now… and for so many of you beautiful people throughout the world! Even though, we’re still far more underfunded than we’d like to be… and there is SO MUCH MORE we could be doing (in case anyone feels a crazy urge to start pressing the donate button)… we are rich where it really matters! And that makes for a “Holy Jolly Christmas!”

How are things going “spiritually” for you guys these days? I hope you’re well able to identify with the kind of encounter I’m alluding to in this announcement. I have prayed that as you read todays blog, it will be like pouring gasoline on your spiritual passion! At DFC, we’ve been praying and believing for the HOLIEST JOLLIEST Christmas of our entire lives… and so far, we’re getting it!

Let us know if you’re down for a visit! And until we meet… I’m praying for you all with great love and appreciation! Have a most triumphant Monday! Don’t forget to Dream Big, Live Bold, and Make a Difference ALL DAY LONG!

I can definitely relate to the musician entering the sanctuary. It’s amazing how that alone is like a mini ‘spa-rejuvination’ session! I bet it feel similar to the prayer room at ihop in Kansas City. Alot of cool stuff has happened at our church:) I also loved the way you explained that depression is not a ‘pull yourself up by the boot straps’ fix. Esp. for situational depression. God has to change how we percieve and react to life problems:)

Thanks Mel!! I have to admit… that was a VERY challenging message to research and deliver. I hope the victory remains with everyone for a very long time.

I cant help saying how blessed we are here at DFC. God has sent us the most amazing people to seek him with. Miracles are happening here. Drug addicts are being set free. Years of bondages are being broken and this tribe is walking in more and more freedom and victory. I love hearing how God is moving and how we are experiencing him in our homes, hearts and sanctuary and in the word released here. The blind do see here. Decades of depression are broken and being broken. God is so good and loves us all so much God has given us much to be thankful and full of joy.
