Yesterdays Mall Cop Brutality! lol

Happy Sunday!

Yesterday was fun! Messed around with my new Ustream show, spent some good quality time with the family, Ryan and Danae Huffer bought me a sweet new shirt and tie from Express, ate a delicious meal and a peppermint shake at Chick-Fil-A, watched Avatar 3-D (amazing), and studied real hard for todays message at Destiny Family Center!

The highlight of my day came when we ran into some serious excitement at the Harrisonburg Mall… watched FIVE (5) Mall Cops take down a ONE (1) 14 year old skater kid. I tried to stream the entire event LIVE on my ustream show and accidentally hit the pause button 7 seconds in… what a spaz Chuck! And let me tell YOU… it was HILARIOUS!

Don’t worry everyone, I still caught an interview from the so-called perpetrators friend (perpetrator: noun 1. someone who perpetrates wrongdoing)

Now you guys know I’m all about submitting to Gods direct and delegated authorities… spiritual, civil, family, workplace… and YES-even Mall Cops!

And unless I really missed something… this incident is THE EXACT REASON people give Mall Cops such a hard time. Come on you guys! FIVE Gigantic Mall Cops to parade ONE non-resistant 14 year old kid from one end of the mall to the other? One of these guards had to be 6’5 and 300lbs! That kid is gonna need a few years of counseling after yesterday! lol

Apparently, this incident of Mall Cop Brutality happened because the kid was skating out in the parking lot last week and then carrying his skateboard through the mall yesterday. Really, I’m a pretty good judge of character… and that kid was being VERY COOPERATIVE while those five Goliaths gave him the spanking of his life! Who knows what happened after they got back into the Mall Cop Office! lol

Now, please don’t claim I’m encouraging rebellion here. Being a Mall Cop has to be a VERY difficult and thankless job… one that I will NEVER desire! Even if these Mall Cops were being a LITTLE over-assertive, I do hope our poor little humiliated skater decided to become a better person through yesterdays mistreatment. (smile)

When life treats us cruel, we have a CHOICE! (yes, we do!) We can become BITTER or BETTER! We can spend the rest of our lives as VICTIMS or VICTORS! So chose the right path little guy! Be kind and respectful to those 5 Raging Mall Cops… and don’t allow this bad experience to take you down the dark path to anarchy! lol

After all, you really were breaking the Sacred Mall Code by skating in the parking lot… something I did way too often BACK IN THE DAY! (oh yes I did!) So do the RIGHT THING here! Bake those Harrisonburg Mall Cops a nice tasty chocolate cake and write a kind apology letter… take the high road ponchico! Become a better person… CHOSE THE PATH OF LOVE! (smiling big!)

Ok, everyone check out the following EPIC bible verses on this subject!

1 Peter 2:15-17 For the Lord’s sake, RESPECT all human authority-whether the king as head of state, 14 or the officials he has appointed. For the king has sent them to punish those who do wrong and to honor those who do right. 15 It is God’s will that your honorable lives should silence those ignorant people who make foolish accusations against you. 16 For you are free, yet you are God’s slaves, so don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do evil. 17 RESPECT everyone, and love your Christian brothers and sisters. Fear God, and RESPECT the king.

1 Peter 2:19-23 For God is pleased with you when you do what you know is right and patiently endure unfair treatment. 20 Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with you. 21 For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered[c] for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. He never sinned nor ever deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.

Thats all the fun we’re having today kids! I will see some of you at Destiny Family Center: 10Am EST this morning! Others, I will see you on the LIVE webcast! And still others, we will not meet today beyond this special moment we’re sharing right now! I’m wishing you ALL a most triumphant Sunday!

Dream Big, Live Bold, and Make the Difference!
