Happy Thursday!
Good morning friends… how’s your first week of this New Year going so far? Is some of the buzz starting to wear off already? You a little nervous about some of your HAPPY FEELINGS fading away so fast? I bet this blog will help!
This year HAS TO BE all about standing UNMOVABLE in a new spiritual position… it HAS TO BE about going forward with that new LIFE PLAN of yours… AND, your emotions for the year have to come FROM your new position and plan!
You’re not going to wake up everyday HIGH on the FEELING of a PERFECT LIFE!
Actually, the reverse is true… and on MANY DAYS, you’re going to wake up LOW on the FEELING of a life that’s not even close to being perfect. Many times throughout the next 12 months, you will FEEL like the whole world is STILL crashing in on you… like the change from 2009 to 2010 meant absolutely nothing!
To counter this… you have to effectively police your feelings EVERY DAY, ALL YEAR!
This has to be a year of BELIEVING!
- It’s believing (FAITH, not feelings) that moves the mountains!
- Faith is solid ground… feelings are shifting tides!
- Faith makes the invisible, visible!
- Faith acts before the obstacle backs up!
- Faith leads with courage until feelings eventually buy in!
- Feelings are EMOTIONAL/MENTAL/SOULISH… faith is SPIRITUAL!
- Faith comes from the SPIRIT of man… feelings come from the MIND!
- Fear is confidence in the devil just as faith is confidence in God!
- By faith, God created EVERYTHING… faith activates Gods creative power!
Just like the profoundness of a caterpillar morphing into a butterfly, something historical happens every time another FEELER morphs into a BELIEVER! I promise you… there’s a beautiful set WINGS on the other side of this… a life no longer grounded with feelings… you’re becoming a new species, a WINGED CREATURE ready for a whole new life of flying!
To the person who BELIEVES, all things are possible! Don’t confuse believing with FEELING!
So believe, even when you do not initially feel! Even when your feelings scream a different message! Believe until you HAVE! Believe until you TASTE! Believe until you FEEL! Believe until the picture in your SPIRIT is the REALITY of your life!
And that is a POWERFUL BLOG!

Good Morning Chuck!!! We are 7 days into the new year and I am still flying high. My expectations of this year are with out comparison. I know God has a plan for my life that is beyond my comprehension but as I did on December 8, 2009 I am stepping out in faith in every aspect of my life. I know that these feelings will pass and I will eventually level out but I am praising God with ever moment. But then again, God has given me a new life, a new start and after the things I have been through the past few years living my life believing that God has already paved my path and all things are possible, these feelings may never pass.
Praise God for letting me live through the past few years and thank you God for the life you have ahead of me. Thank you Chuck for and awesome blog.
I am really trying not to confuse believing with feeling. It can be so hard to seperate the two. Esp. when you feel like the world is continually crashing down on you (like what is going on in my life) and you feel like all you do is jump through one hoop after another untill you are so wiped out and thoroughly exhausted and you forget what it was you were after in the first place. I am trying so hard not to look at my own circumstanses and look to God instead for direction. I want to have the right expectation from people and God. I guess I got so caught up trying to get from man what only God can give me. Hmm..

Chuck – this was excellent. I love the faith and feeling snippets – they are so true! People who have dealt with depression often have to learn the proper place of feelings, and faith. People whose hearts have hardened often need to learn that feeling still has a place, the place God created it to fulfill. When faith, fact and feeling resume their God created, God given roles what a touch of heaven it is.
WOW OH WOW IF I DIDN’T NEED THIS BLOG TODAY–THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OH MY HEART…THE BATTLE OF THE FLESH IS ONE I WILL CONQUER THIS YEAR 2010 IS PAM MYERS MIRACLE YEAR AND I WILL DEFEAT MY INSUFFIENCIES..THANKS FOR THAT ENCOURAGING WORD AND I WILL ABSORB IT AND PRAY ON IT EVERYDAY. Wayne, I just see the Lord COVERING you right now… a vision of a blanket… and on the blanket is this GIGANTIC image of Jesus, one of those old religious clip art images of him… and you’re KNEELING in a cold place with this blanket covering you as you PRAY! Oh, and the blanket is bullet proof… it’s the covering of Psalm 91! And god says, “I am here!” His love is in the WARMTH and its coming over you TODAY!

Have been on the road and haven't had a chance to read your blog recently. But really liked this post.
Once when talking to Pastor Ray about God's will for my life, he told me to ask God to paint a picture of His will in my spirit. So I've been doing that, and over last year God "corrected my course" in a lot of ways, and now I can see that picture so much more clearly. And things are starting to happen that line up with this picture of God's will for me. It's exciting! But it's gonna be a lot of work, too. Still, when the work matches the passion that God births inside a person to do His will, the work doesn't seem… like work! And I am believing that THIS IS THE YEAR!
Wayne you are so right about their being a proper place for feelings and faith. Thanks for that reminder. I needed that today.
