Happy Tuesday!

It seems to me… we face the most resistance during the final steps to our greatest victories.

On Sunday, I announced to my church family, that I’m just 15 pages away from finishing my 4 year book project. 343 Word document pages now completed… a quotable line in EVERY paragraph! One book really can change the world… and Make Me a legend is written to do that!

Then, we went on to have the greatest church service @ Destiny Family Center in a year or more! It was a taste of heaven!

I can’t imagine the dark forces in my region are too happy with me right now. Who knows, I may have irritated a few national and international demons too.

Strike the Shepherd and the sheep will be scattered… Mark 14:27

If I was the devil, I would HUNT a man like me! I would commission all of hell to wipe this shepherd out… and I would do it FAST!

So, I asked for prayer, because I FELT the possibility of untold resistance at the finish line of such an impactful accomplishment!

I looked ahead, from where I was standing to the very short distance standing between me and the greatest victory of my life. And for a second, I wanted to turn back. The winds were blowing, the flames were white hot…

How right I was. Yesterday morning, around 10am… within a period of 10 minutes, I felt as if some beast walked into my office and beat me senseless. My whole body hurt… teeth, ears, bones, muscles, eyes, skin… even every blade of hair!

Here are two sections of scripture… my response to such last minute attempts to rip me down. You can use them for your own life situations!

Zechariah 3:1-2 Then the angel showed me Jeshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord. The Accuser, Satan, was there at the angel’s right hand, making accusations against Jeshua. And the Lord said to Satan, “I, the Lord, reject your accusations, Satan. Yes, the Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebukes you. This man is like a burning stick that has been snatched from the fire.”

Joshua 1:5-9 No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you. “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

So, today and every day this week, one day at a time, I will stand in faith… I will run my final steps all the way to the finish, with great grace. Be inspired to do the same concerning your own FINISHING STEPS. Don’t slow down, don’t turn back… never give in, never give up… you will WIN this long race, in just a few more days!
