Cindy is now in Branson with her parents and sister and doing quite well last I heard. It is a girl I work with who has become my BEST FRIEND and ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER! When I came on board in this office we didn't know anything about each other and come to find out she knew my husband and they had a history of knowing the same people. It was pretty incredible how God placed me here and how He used me during these past 3 1/2 years! God is totally amazing and every day He amazes me even more! Pastor, it is not Cindy Lombardo. Thanks for encouraging me... i think God knows how much resistance we can handle... and doesn't allow us to opt for the beginners workout all our lives. This morning, Emily was working out to a DVD and she asked me if she should select: HARD or EXPERT... and I said, what the heck, select EXPERT! That is so cool that you heard his voice. We are all proud of you too. It has been a crazy year. God has done some serious reconstructing at dfc. The trials have been so painful for you and your family, but you endured all of it (AMAZING). Even when you felt like giving up you held on! You're character is at a much higher level than famous preachers much older than you. It's like God did in a year or two for you, what can take others, 10-15 years. The enemy wanted to demolish you're character (even using other members in the body) and now I bet he wishes he never messed with you! You didn't let the lies and tricks work on you. God must be gettin you ready for something big. Whenever I hear Job's name, I cringe (Im being honest here lol). I am so blessed to have read that book when I was going through the worse time of my life almost 6 years ago. It changed me and the way I look at any crisis I have in life. I still at least know somewhere in the back of my head in my darkest hour, that God is for me and not against me! No matter haw far off I am, he pulls me back. My mom and I were talking about standing on the word in hard times when it looks like God is hiding. She reminded me of one of our favorite parts in the movie Facing the Giants. When Brooke wanted a baby SO BAD and hears discouraging news after all they had done, she says to God 'I will still love you!' through her gut wrenching tears. It was her solid faith that helped her decide right then and there that she would not allow that pain to make her sit down and shut up and stop believing. That kind of perseverance is what encourages me to keep on trusting God. There have been times that I have thought 'God, where the heck are you?!' I LOVE the story of Job. The Lord had me study Job for about 30-45 days and there is so much revelation there. I have been counseling with one of my best friends as God told me she was a "modern day Job in female form". Her story is one of total disbelief and amazement but what a testimony she has now! Through it all, as many times as she wanted to give up and "curse God", she made it through and is now one of the most incredible, strong, on fire, pure woman of God I know. God took EVERYTHING away from her (including her natural born children) and is beginning to restore it ten-fold! Once I began going through this journey with her I understood why God took so much time to teach me the revelation of Job. I am so excited for you Pastor Chuck that you heard God's voice and He is well pleased with you. Never give up or stop what you are doing and never squealch that fire and passion within you.
