Happy Thursday!

Are you sitting on a pile of unanswered questions concerning National Health Care? Not sure about what to wish for? On one hand, you’re rooting for the underdog, feeling like it would be a good thing for a health care plan that’ll cover all Americans… and on the other hand, you’re at least a little nervous about taking a few giant steps into socialism? Are you confused about what socialism even means?

Here’s an EPIC and HIGHLY EDUCATIONAL 1961 audio clip from Ronald Reagan, explaining how socialized medicine leads to socialism… and the difference between socialism and free enterprise.

This youtube clip is aggressively circulating… people are talking about it all over the world. Take a listen, be educated, be informed… so that you can stand firm on a SOLID CONVICTION about the future direction of our country… a conviction that cannot be manipulated by todays liberal media.

Ronald Reagan opens his speech with the following words… “Back in 1927, an American Socialist Norman Thomas, 6 times candidate for president on the socialist ticket said the American people would never vote for socialism. But he said under the name of liberalism, the American people will adopt every fragment of the socialist program.

Now, I realize this an antitypical topic for my blog. It moved me so much, I had to pass it on. Here is the clip…

I want to re-quote Ronald Reagan’s closing remarks: “…and if you don’t, this program will pass just as surely as the sun will come up tomorrow… and behind it will come other federal programs that will invade every area of freedom as we have known it in this country, until… one day as Norman Thomas said, we will awake to find, that we have socialism! And if you don’t do this and if I don’t do it… one of these days, you and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children, and our children’s children, what it was like to live in America, when men were free.”

Have you guys ever heard about the Manhattan Declaration? I heard about it a while back, plan to read this document today… would love to hear some of your political views from a Christian perspective. PLEASE, keep it polite.

There you have it… my political blog of the month! Please leave your comments and have a most triumphant day!

  1. That is more powerful then anything that I have seen on TV. I don't support this health care plan. I have been without medical insurance since June 1999 until now. I do not hold the same values of our Presidential Administration. We need to speak out against the spirit of slavery that is coming over America. Sure, life was difficult without medical insurance and I had medical bills that I made payments on over the years. I would much rather have the freedom to choose to make payments for my health care then to be forced to take a plan that is not in the best interest of the people.

This spirit of slavery that is coming from our President needs much prayer to drive it back where it came from. American Christians, I encourage you to rise up to defend your values and to begin to listen to the nagging feeling that is in your chest. I ask you to acknowledge that gut feeling that keeps you from excitement concerning this health care plan, the direction of America or the world. Seek out the health care plan's desires, loopholes and downfalls for your self! Then rise, be heard and take action.

  2. A great post, Pastor ~ I have a song in mind to write that starts with "Count it all joy to suffer with the Savior" – I love Third Day, and thank you for the prayer. God bless you and meet all your needs ~
