Happy Monday!
Yet another amazing day for Destiny Family Center. The most powerful thrust of momentum I’ve ever felt in my life! Despite our many challenges of this past 12 months, we continue to FLOURISH! This is the grace of God! I’m sorry to bring this up every Monday morning… but I honestly can’t help myself! wow.
My Burden For Israel
This morning, before I prayed, I read a startling article on FoxNews about Israel: Israel Envoy: US Ties in ‘Crisis of Historic Proportions’
When I prayed, I felt a huge burden for Israel… specifically for the continuation of our enduring USA/Israel friendship. Back during the Presidential elections, this is one of the things I was overly concerned about. I kept feeling like this far-left political swing would eventually lead to what seems to be happening right now.
Israel: Chosen For an Eternal Purpose
Isn’t it amazing… how small of a nation Israel is, and yet, the eyes of the whole world continually look in her direction? After the fall of mankind and during an era when humans we’re becoming increasingly hopeless… God chose Abraham out of all the people of the earth, to reveal his eternal plan of salvation.
Abraham
God made a promise to Abraham, that the land he was settling in would belong to his chosen people forever.
Jacob’s Name Changed to Israel
Later, God visited Abraham’s grandson Jacob… and changed Jacob’s name to ISRAEL (the one who wrestled with God, the champion of God).
Moses Delivers a Nation of Slaves
Later, after hundreds of years in a foreign land… as slaves of a tyrannical Pharaoh, God sent Moses to deliver Israel’s descendants.
Joshua Leads Israel Back Into Her Inheritance
After another 40 years, God inspired Joshua to lead Israel back into their ORIGINAL land of promise. They secured that land and settled in that land and flourished in that land… and they have NEVER tried to take a single acre of territory besides their God given inheritance.
Israel in History
Throughout history, evil world leaders have sought to annihilate Israel, and she keeps coming back! Why do you think this is?
Because God has kept his promise… and he will continue to do so!
America Needs Israel
The reason I am so concerned about these recent developments with Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton… is because I believe America is doomed the moment we forsake Israel!
Israel & End Time Prophecy
I don’t know how you feel about biblical prophecy. So much has been done in the name of predicting the future. I’m not giving a time table and I’m not trying to flip anyone out. According to my interpretation of the Bible concerning the end times… we will know the end is near when Israel is all alone with the certainty of annihilation, surrounded by armies… and just when it seems that she will be destroyed forever, God himself will step into the earth to defend her! This will happen during the very end of this earth age.
There are so many interpretations about the order of events leading to this. I’m not saying that Israel wont suffer or that something very bad will not happen to Israel prior to God stepping in. What I am saying is that Israel will ALWAYS be the apple of Gods eye… and God will always bless the nation that blesses her!
Actually Pray For Israel
I feel as Christian people, we should always do what we can to love and support Israel. When considering the evil aggressiveness of todays anti-Semitic movements, we should be FAR MORE aggressive… to counter the effectiveness of such movements.
I have been guilty of not saying or doing enough in recent years… and I pray for God to keep this burden alive in my heart!
Speak well of Israel… as often as you can bring the subject up to your friends. Be bold! Talk about how wrong you feel it is for leaders like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to say things like “Israel must be wiped off the map!”
Pray every day if you can… that God will protect Israel from radical Islamic initiatives. Pray that our American government will experience a sudden resurgence of love and commitment to Israel, our long term FAITHFUL ally! Vote for pro Israel leaders!
Even if you’re not a Christian… you have to see the wrongness of anti-Semitism. Israel is not an aggressor! Israel is not trying to take over the world! Israel just wants to live safely inside of her ORIGINAL borders.
It feels so right to publish a blog like this… I hope it’s blessing you just the same!
Genesis 12:3 I will bless those who bless you (God speaking to Abraham about the nation he was going to bring from his seed), and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (the plan of salvation we are blessed with today… it is built on the foundation of Israel’s revelation… and that will never change)
Here’s what a few other world respected leaders are saying about Israel and the importance of our relationship with her! [taken from daytopray.com]
Joyce Meyer - Joyce Meyer Ministries
“As Christians and believers in the Word of God, we have a responsibility to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. America and Israel have been friends and allies for many years now and today we must continue to stand in support of Israel. As the body of Christ we must ask God to bring them not only peace in the natural, but also peace spiritually through relationship with Jesus Christ.”
Ron Kenoly - Ron Kenoly Ministries
“Not only does the Bible say that we should pray for the peace of Jerusalem, but we should also as believers, remember that Jerusalem is the place, the city, that God has chosen to establish His name. Israel is the fulfillment of God’s promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, so it is testimony to the world that God is One who is faithful to His promises. I think as we grab a hold of that fulfillment of promise, our faith increases and we are able to establish ourselves more and more in the word of God.”
Pastor John Hagee – Cornerstone Church
“Now is the time to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. The face is that when Jerusalem is at peace, the world is at peace. And when Jerusalem is at war, the world is at war. When we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, we in are effect, not only praying for the Jewish people and Israel, we’re praying for peace in the United States of America.”
Ron Luce - Teen Mania Ministries
“We, as followers of Christ, are called to align ourselves with God’s chosen people and partner together in prayer for their peace and security. As I have ministered to thousands of teens across America, I have seen the effects of a generation that has lost the value of prayer. As the church, we must rise up and pray as our Father asks for Israel.”
Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda - Mahesh Chavda Ministries
“Each of us needs direction for our lives. God wants His people not to walk in confusion but in clarity. I have discovered that clarity comes to us as we make the things important to God as compass points in our lives. We find in Scripture that the most important piece of geography on God’s heart is Jerusalem. Is. 2:3, Many people shall come and say, “ Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. Ps. 122:6, Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you. The restored Jewish state with Jerusalem as its capital will be the seat of government of the Lord on His return. It is imperative that, as Daniel, we make this our priority in these last days as we await the return of the Messiah. Dan. 6:10, Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.”
That’s it everyone… sorry for the LENGTHINESS of this message. There was no way to say it any faster than its been said. I’m praying for you all! Have a most triumphant Monday!

Great blog! It's time for Israel to not be the 'underdog' anymore. But be victorious. Won't go into politics and my opinions of the current governments handlings of Israel. Because we all know the deal, we just have to pray, because God is bigger than any of Israel's opposers.

Chuck, GOD began to give me and my FAMILY a burden to pray for ISRAEL!!It was me and my wife first and then my oldest son Michael!!Yesterday we prayed during BIBLE time for GOD to speak to us what scripture to read,GOD spoke to LORI Isaiah 14 ,GOD spoke to Michael Jeremiah 30!!!!
Both of these are very powerful concerning Israel!Jeremiah 30:7 says:In all of history there has never been such a time ot terror. It will be a time of trouble for my people Israel.Yet in the end they will be saved.
Chuck I believe that you are right on about the end time's,we need to get a burden, to PRAY for the apple of GOD"S eye!!!!
GOD BLESS ISRAEL,GOD SPEAK TO AMERICA!!!
Pastor, I whole heartily agree with you and in fact, I have some fellow photo "fans, friends" from my Redbubble photo site that live in Jerusalem and they of course share their photos with me of the beauty that surrounds them. I find it breath taking to view their artwork and read about where the photos are taken.
It gives me many opportunities to pray for Israel and to keep it high priority on my prayer list.
Thanks for sharing this today.
Yes, we must pray for Israel. Antisemitism is alive and well! I challenge all believers to study the history of Christian Antisemitism, (go WAY back to the third century). You will be horrified and shocked! I recommend reading "The Anguish of the Jews" by Edward Flannery. Also "As America Has Done to Israel" by John McTernan.
Does this mean Israel is perfect? Of course not! Just read the Bible!
Do people realize that Jesus was a JEWISH man in His humanity? Read Romans 9-11, to see Christian Triumphalism back then!

I totally agree that we must stand and pray for Israel! I think it is great that you have posted this blog today Pastor! Thanks!
Facebook conversation between Chuck and Jan Maxwell:
Jan writes: Read your blog, don't agree. Israel needs some "tough love". There needs to be peace in the Middle East. Building new settlements is a kick in the teeth to the Palestinians. The announcement while our VP was in Israel was an insult to this whole nation. Israel enjoys rubbing our faces in it b/c of the reaction of some Christians to any criticism of Israel. Ask Jim Baker, the first George Bush's ambassador. As long as we act as if Israel can do no wrong, we cannot broker a peace.
Chuck writes: Jan, I guess the best way for me to comprehend what's going on in Israel is to imagine how I would want the world to react if I was put in a similar situation.
Let's suppose you were sitting at home one night and a group of people came and settled on a portion of your property… and lets say that over the years you drove them off of that property… and you tried to put a building in the exact spot they once attempted to claim. Can you imagine anyone in all the world faulting you for establishing settlement on your own property?
Let's think about how we would react if this were to happen to the USA. What if Canada attempted to seize the state of New York… and over time, we drove them back… while the anti-american community bashed us for DEFENDING our own territory. And then let's say, once we tried to establish settlement in that territory that was ours to begin with… what if the rest of the world called us the bullies… and told us to stop creating tension through resistance?
Would you, or would this nation give up OUR rightful territory in the name of maintaing global peace?
Thank you so much for commenting… I'm not an expert on this topic… but I am learning. : )
During the last few centuries, the world, Christians included, has fallen into a bad habit. We have bought into some early Roman propaganda. We have used the name Palestine, which Roman Emperor Hadrian placed on the country of Israel in 135 A.D., for so long that it has become common usage. This would be as incorrect as calling the Russia of today the “Soviet Union” or referring to Berlin as “East Germany.” The thoughts below by our ministry’s senior theologian, Dr. Thomas S. McCall, completely explore the subject. If you know somebody who’s fallen into this habit, please share this article with them.
