Socialism, Phase One Rammed Into Our Throats!

Happy Monday!

I suppose there is no better time than today, for posting my political blog of the month… A historical moment indeed: Socialism, phase 1 rammed into our throats!

I cannot explain how nauseous I felt waking to the sound of liberal politicians, arrogantly celebrating last nights passage of nationalized health care. In a vote 219-212, with every republican and 34 democrats voting NO… Nancy Pelosi claims, “This is an all-American act!”

To my opponents, please don’t get overly hostile with me today… for I am merely stating my personal position. If you strongly disagree with my paradigm and you feel like I am in biblical error, then please pray for me… that my eyes would be opened.

For anyone who will attempt to throw me under the bus for “not supporting America’s governing authorities,” I challenge you to accuse me only after you’re prayed for this administration as much as I have.

I woke up at 4am to praying like a woman in labor, for our nation & government. Please don’t accuse me of being racist for not applauding President Obama on this one. If Hillary Clinton was our President and she was leading like this… I would be far more vocal in my opposition. Those who know me well, know that there is NOT a racist bone in my body. As mentioned in previous blogs, I want this President to do the right thing… I want him to succeed and go down in history as a VERY GOOD President. This is my DAILY prayer for him!

I applaud Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., for hammering down the walls of racial segregation and racial discrimination… and I honor him as one of the greatest American leaders of all time! But I do not feel the same about this President and his political party… not by what I have seen so far, and not by what I see coming.

I’m very serious about this! We’re not just talking about providing health care for all the struggling people of our nation. NO WAY! This is about so much more than that. Dear God, help us!

I am fighting through so much anger right now. Trying to be compliant on the one hand, and on the other, wishing I could do anything to save America from what’s ahead! Feeling abused, oppressed, and helpless to stop what’s happening.

In an article written early this morning, Andrea Tantaros, a fox news reporter writes,

In President Obama’s first State of the Union address, only mere months ago, he pledged to focus on jobs and stressed that it would be priority number one. After last night’s contested, contentious and downright partisan vote on health care, one that took rule manipulation and arm-twisting to achieve, it is clear that perversion and power lust are paramount to all else. It is the biggest abuse of power and demonstration of arrogance ever shown by Washington, and it surely is the most gigantic and life-altering legislative move of my generation. In short, its impact can’t be underestimated.

She said: “the biggest abuse of power and demonstration of arrogance ever shown by Washington” and “the most gigantic and life-altering legislative move of my generation.”

Here’s a REPOST of the epic and highly educational 1961 audio clip from Ronald Reagan, explaining how socialized medicine leads to socialism… and the difference between socialism and free enterprise.

You can check out the entire blog where I originally posted this clip: National Heath Care: Socialism vs. Free Enterprise

Ronald Reagan opens his speech with the following words… “Back in 1927, an American Socialist Norman Thomas, 6 times candidate for president on the socialist ticket said the American people would never vote for socialism. But he said under the name of liberalism, the American people will adopt every fragment of the socialist program.

I want to re-quote Ronald Reagan’s closing remarks: “…and if you don’t, this program will pass just as surely as the sun will come up tomorrow… and behind it will come other federal programs that will invade every area of freedom as we have known it in this country, until… one day as Norman Thomas said, we will awake to find, that we have socialism! And if you don’t do this and if I don’t do it… one of these days, you and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children, and our children’s children, what it was like to live in America, when men were free.”

I am, and I will continue to support our President with love, honor, and prayer. Even though I am so upset with him right now… he is still our President, and I am pleading with God for NEW GRACE, so I can be a good citizen during this time of political tyranny. God help us all!

  1. Good morning everyone. Hi Pastor Chuck. Here is today's oxymoron. Fox News. These are all just a bunch of highly paid professional actors who often don't even belive the positions they so zealously espouse. Glenn Beck is isn't even the guy's real name. He's really John something or other… to make mattres worse Sara Palin recently admitted she and Todd regularly went to Canada for some of their socialized medicine. It was only recently this same fuss was made about Medicare and Medicaid and now you couldn't take that stuff from a die hard Republican at gun point. The monied insurance companies will all just have to get over it. Thanks. Love Ya!

  2. Kim! My dear friend Kim! I kind of felt like you had this kind of political view… and never brought it up before. I respect you as my friend… my VERY good friend, but ewwww on your political paradigm! lol

  3. The whole thing is gross and it's sad! Not sure how but I guess it fits into God's plan.

    Here is my area of frusteration and a lil story on why Im not liberal;

ANY type of Gov. asst. food stamps, unemployment, medicaid, etc. Should only be dispursed AFTER a drug test in my opinion.

I live in a semi-crappy apt. complex, the people drive nice cars, have 400 dollar phones, and most are on umemployment and on drugs. (not suggesting the two go hand in hand normally, so don't freak out if anyone reading this is on unemployment).

One morning I was de-icing my car hoping that scraping the windowshield would not wake my neighbors. At that moment I thought about how proud I am to be a conservative. Here I am, a single mom, de-icing my car so I can drive my kids to school and then me to work, concerned about disturbing those who don't have to get out of bed AND STILL GET PAID!!!! Talk about frusterated. Haha I think at one point I told the girls (who were then coming out of the house to get in the car), that they could be as loud as they wanted, normally I tell then not to make alot of noise so we wouldn't wake our neighbors. (my rebel moment)

I am not in anyway knocking gov. asst. I had to use it too at one point. But after seeing people get offered jobs and turn them down so they won't lose the asst., I have grown sick and tired of this mediocre generation of 'Im not working but your fund my life anyway.' attitude.

Ok, so before I get ripped to shreds, here's my disclaimer. PLEASE people, understand that I am NOT knocking unemployment or other Gov. asst. Just those that abuse it! And BELIEVE me, there would be a ton of resources freed up.

JMO (Just my opinion) Sorry about the rabbit trail lol,

    Mel 🙂

  4. It's quite unfortunate that we've created a generational mindset, even in the Christian Church, that "I have the right to as much money as I can vote out of your pockets". I would encourage all Christians to realize that it's very easy to be "generous" with other people's money. Scripture, on the other hand, teaches that coveteousness is a serious sin against God. The "monied insurance companies" have every right to make a profit (Proverbs 10:4, Proverbs 13:11), and the best way to keep their prices in check with with the Biblically ordained "free market" (which would include portability and tort reform). Besides, at least the insurance companies have some market accountability. Who is going to keep Uncle Sam in check? (And Healthcare is not a "right". It is a commodity.)

One of the main problems is that the church has failed in it's duties to the poor. It's so easy to offload this burden onto the civil government, and we tend to do so under the guise of "charity". But the Bible has not given care to the poor as the duty of the government. This duty falls first to families, and then to the church.

In the end, liberalism attempts to deify the state. "We have no king bur Caesar".

  5. I'd like to add a quote from a dear friend of mine…where he got it, I'm not sure, perhaps it's his own;

"Generally speaking, a Conservative will give you a hand up, a Liberal will give you 5 bucks to stay down!"

    There, I'm on the limb!…

Thanks for blogging every day, Pastor CHuck!

  6. GREAT COMMENTS everyone! Mel… what a picture you created with words!! Thank you!

Puritan Lad… I actually agree with every word you've written! Wow, well spoken!

Kristin… out on a limb! lol!! Great quote!

  7. Complacancy…no more! The events of the past 24 hours should be enough to wake us all up. It seems calous to me to push one's own agenda, blatantly offering bribes and such, when the people you serve are going without the basics. As a business owner I wonder how many hoops I'll have to jump through to comply with this mandate and how much it will cost and change my business if court appeals don't kill it. I pray daily for our president and throw in congress, the house, senate all leaders and citezens too. That their eyes and hearts turn to God and follow His lead. That we can live quiet and peacable lives in all Godliness and honesty. I pray that this stirs up a passion in our country for God and that people flock to Him and to the polls in all the coming elections. I am still kind of shocky at the news and I have to keep reminding myself that what is seen is only temporary and look to the Eternal. God Bless you especially Pastor!

  8. Pastor Chuck,

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I agree there is MUCH MORE to Obama's agenda
than this socialist medical plan but so many cannot see it. One of the problems
I see is that Obama thinks he can do whatever he wants because who is stopping
him? Forcing people to pay for their healthcare is unconstitutional! Where are
our lawmakers? Isn't this unconstitutional act by Obama an impeachable offense?
The states are already forming lawsuits against it. If it is already recognized
as illegal then why is everybody just sitting around talking about it? Why is he
    still in office?
