Happy Tuesday Everyone!
I awoke with a heightened sense of anticipation. Life is so good for us these days. I really cannot believe how much I can see God acting in my world right now! For the first time in my life, I don’t have enough time to journal all of the good things happening. It’s so dimensional!
Do you ever feel like this? Maybe not every day… but every once in a while, you catch a tiny glimpse into the perfect mind of God, and you KNOW that he is working on your behalf!
Romans 8:28-31 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory. What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
I feel like God is RIGHT NOW working on my behalf… and on your behalf! He is working in our lives like a master chess player works his game pieces… and he’s made us his kings… and he’s arranged our lives like epic games against the ultimate evil opponents… and all along, God has been playing the game PERFECTLY, setting us up for the guaranteed WIN!
Theologically, I believe in the power of free will. You and I have to cooperate with God! We have to allow his character to be developed in our lives… we have to seek his will. But, we do not have to be perfect! Just like in the game of chess… GOD is always adjusting his strategy based upon the real time moves of his opponent. The goal is a WIN… and because God lives in the past, present, and future all at once… it is impossible for him to lose!
Just like in the game of chess, there are a thousands possible ways to end up with the WIN. It feels so good knowing that God is MOVING IN OUR LIVES… and if he is MOVING US, then… no matter how our opponent plays his game, we will definitely end up with the WIN!
I guess this morning, I just looked down at my board and realized… there is no way I can lose at this point! God is BRILLIANT! Every move he’s made in my world over the past 38 years… absolutely BRILLIANT! And every move he makes for the rest of this game will be another step closer to the absolute fulfillment of his plans for my life and ministry! It’s all been set up… I cannot lose… and neither can you!
Ephesians 3:19-20 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

way cool…God somehow takes my "mistakes" and then turns them into sunshine. Simply amazing!
