My Prayer Experiment!

Happy Thursday!

My Prayer Experiment!

Yesterday was kind of like an experiment for us. I asked for prayer requests, not really expecting too many people would respond. And to my absolute amazement, your heartfelt requests poured in all day long on facebook, twitter and on the blog site… and your requests were far more specific than I expected!

This made me so HAPPY! I loved praying for you guys… it was SO MUCH FUN! In fact, praying for you brought about a tremendous level of personal victory to me and my family! This is a scriptural concept: give and it shall be given, pressed down, shaken together, and running over!

God blesses the blesser!

Well, I gave my time and passion to pray for my friends… and God POURED His love into my heart like I haven’t felt in a long time. It always happens this way for me. In my time of biggest challenge, whenever I reach out to bless others, God ALWAYS reaches back and blesses me!

Your Faith Impresses Me!

Another thing I noticed about yesterday, is that this blog site hit a three-month-high in traffic! Meaning, that this tribe places a VERY HIGH value on the subject of PRAYER! I think this is a very strong indication of our FAITH in God to move mountains and make impossible things possible!

Faith Matters!

I want to believe in God more today than I did yesterday and more tomorrow than I do today. While so many people start out so spiritual and lose their confidence in God because of situations they cannot explain, I want to TRUST GOD EVEN WHEN I CANNOT TRACE HIM.

God is Always Working in Our Lives!

For every one thing going wrong, there are a hundred things going right in my life and in yours, too! We have to FOCUS on the things God is doing in our lives… we have to KEEP LOOKING and ALWAYS LOOK for HIS MIRACLES! Sometimes, God is not identified in the casual glance… and we have to LOOK again… until we SEE HIM at the very center of our lives moving heaven and earth to MAKE US everything we ought to be!

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Eternal vs. Temporary Paradigms!

God works in our lives with an ETERNAL PARADIGM. Because we are more in touch with this temporary physical world, we usually want him to work in our lives through our TEMPORARY PARADIGM. And what we need to understand is this: what’s happening IN US is far more valuable than ANYTHING happening TO US!

God IS Answering Prayer!

God does answer prayer! He is working all things out for our HIGHEST ETERNAL GOOD! When we pray to Him, he always HEARS us… and he works through people and the laws of nature and governments and societies… He’s doing more than we will ever know to BLESS US LIKE HE ALWAYS DOES!

So, let’s KEEP ON PRAYING! Let’s PRAY SO MUCH MORE! Our prayers are a mighty force to be reckoned with! We’re moving mountains… we’re shaping history… we’re saving the world!

I thank God that yesterday showed me how MUCH FAITH is still in the earth today! You guys BELIEVE IN GOD! You are the salt of the earth… a city of people set on a hill for all the world to see! Keep shining everyone… have a most triumphant day! I love you all…

  1. WOW! It is awesome to see all the prayers requests from yesterday! It is a huge testament to the faith everyone has! I sat down to read the blog 3 times yesterday and something always came up. I just want to say Pastor it is so wonderful that you took the time out to pray for everyone yesterday! I know God will bless you for it! Thanks for your dedication and commitment! It is encouraging each and every day! <3 you all!

  2. It blessed me yesterday so much also to not only read the heart felt prayer request poured out into this blog but to pray them along with you. I feel what you are saying when you truly pray for others your heart is just so full of love and compassion.

There is so much JOY all around us as we see those miracles unfold and we SEE GOD in so many areas of life working things out through people He places in others paths.

WE have to be faithful to PRAY and to ASK and to BELIEVE and to WAIT on GOD and KNOW it's all HIM.

Thank you again for being that beacon of "Hope Giver" to so many lives.

  3. Awesome! Praying works more than anything. Praying without ceasing is key. People at Dfc are amazing prayer warriors, prayers have been answered because I have a church family that cares enough to pray. Thank you and everyone else, for being approachable enough to ask for prayer.

I want to be able to find/feel God in any situation too. Because I know he is always with me. He is the one in my life that I can count on and won't disapoint me ever. I want to learn to rely on God and get out of him what I have tried in the past to get out of man. Maybe you could pray that too?

  4. Woooeeehhh! You guys are so on fire these days! You've become such GREAT articulators of great thoughts! Kyle… nice on the Proverb of the day thing! Keep it up and watch how you're feeling in three months! : )

Mel, you are going to marry the STRONGEST man of God, the most ROMANTIC GENTLEMEN, the most diligent PROVIDER you've ever known! And you ARE GOING TO LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER! That is my prayer for you!! And it will happen just as we have believed! Just like Esther PREPARED for a very long time for her ONE MOMENT with the King… and found favor with the most powerful man in the earth… so this time has not been lost time. God is preparing you for something GINORMOUS! Have a super day! Keep smiling! You're making the difference for so many people! : )

  5. Awesome! Im glad it blessed you because it totally blessed me! Yesterdays post challenged me to pray more. And not only that but to pray more for specific things instead only general things. By the way I took your advice on reading a chapter of Proverbs a day and I love it, its great.

  6. Almost forgot… not sure if you saw my fb post but we took Nechemya off his meds about 2 months ago now. The first few days were a nightmare… but we prayed him through it, speaking the Word and God has HEALED him!! Praise God!!! That is a powerful testimony for sure! We had not been able to miss a dose without him feeling the effects of it drastically!! I had been praying daily that God would heal him, and take his pain. I would not take him off of his meds until I heard from God. One day I asked God if enough was enough and to my surprise He said it was time! I admit I had to check in my spirit to make sure that I was not trying to push before God’s perfect timing. I talked with Jeremy and God confirmed it and now Nechemya is free!! We have such a GREAT GOD!!! We have 2 miracles down with him and one to go!! Anyway, I had been meaning to share. Have a great rest of the day!

  7. Your fam. has been in my prayers alot Elaine 🙂 And Thank you sooooooo much Chuck! WOW! I had to call my mom in FL and tell her what you wrote.(She taught me to trust god instead of people for things only God can give 🙂 Thank you very very very much!!

    Have a great day

    Mel 🙂
