I’m gonna make a difference today!
This morning, I’m preaching a funeral for two of my friends. We’re burying their still born son. A few days ago, when I received news of their son’s passing, I was broken to pieces with grief. Then, the more I have spoken with them, the more I have personally benefited from their faith! God is so obviously blanketing this moment with HOPE… and I am privileged to be a part of all He’s getting ready to do.
As sad as I am for my two friends, there is an expectancy in my heart, that something very big is going to happen for this humbled couple and their loving family and close friends… at today’s 11am graveside service.
Sadly, I’m out of time for blogging today. Last night, when I was on my way home from the 5-7pm prayer meeting and the Lead Team meeting that followed… I received a call from some of the young adults who have recently committed their lives to Christ. They were gathered somewhere in their vehicles, looking for a place to worship God! So at 11:00, I re-opened the church and they swarmed into the DFC sanctuary! They prayed for lost friends (who were present with them) and God reached into these guys lives so powerfully.
I had planned to let them into the building, then go home and finish writing today’s funeral sermon… and I could not LEAVE. I finally got to bed after 2am, too overwhelmed with God’s love to drift to sleep. I laid awake, thanking him a hundred times for all He is doing in my life and ministry these days!
Due to the high volume of recent salvation’s, we are baptizing a pile of new Christians during the church service this Sunday morning! These guys claim they are bringing 50 more of their lost friends… and they are believing for 50 more salvations! Our worship team just learned my favorite worship song of the past few weeks! What a weekend we are poised for!
I wish I could write more… gotta go change the world for two very dear friends!
I would love to check back later and hear about how this revival is impacting your life! Write your story… make me cry, and laugh, and make me even more happy that I lived to see this day!
I love you all so very much…
I just finished praying for you (with tremendous passion), hoping you really feel the difference. I wish you a most triumphant Friday wherever you are in the earth today.
Please leave your comments here on the blog site so that we will always have a record of your beautiful thoughts.
With much love…
