How Is This Revival Impacting Your Life? Write Your Story!

Happy Friday!

I’m gonna make a difference today!

This morning, I’m preaching a funeral for two of my friends. We’re burying their still born son. A few days ago, when I received news of their son’s passing, I was broken to pieces with grief. Then, the more I have spoken with them, the more I have personally benefited from their faith! God is so obviously blanketing this moment with HOPE… and I am privileged to be a part of all He’s getting ready to do.

As sad as I am for my two friends, there is an expectancy in my heart, that something very big is going to happen for this humbled couple and their loving family and close friends… at today’s 11am graveside service.

Sadly, I’m out of time for blogging today. Last night, when I was on my way home from the 5-7pm prayer meeting and the Lead Team meeting that followed… I received a call from some of the young adults who have recently committed their lives to Christ. They were gathered somewhere in their vehicles, looking for a place to worship God! So at 11:00, I re-opened the church and they swarmed into the DFC sanctuary! They prayed for lost friends (who were present with them) and God reached into these guys lives so powerfully.

I had planned to let them into the building, then go home and finish writing today’s funeral sermon… and I could not LEAVE. I finally got to bed after 2am, too overwhelmed with God’s love to drift to sleep. I laid awake, thanking him a hundred times for all He is doing in my life and ministry these days!

Due to the high volume of recent salvation’s, we are baptizing a pile of new Christians during the church service this Sunday morning! These guys claim they are bringing 50 more of their lost friends… and they are believing for 50 more salvations! Our worship team just learned my favorite worship song of the past few weeks! What a weekend we are poised for!

I wish I could write more… gotta go change the world for two very dear friends!

I would love to check back later and hear about how this revival is impacting your life! Write your story… make me cry, and laugh, and make me even more happy that I lived to see this day!

I love you all so very much…

  1. This revival has entered into our house weeks and weeks ago. It has so changed my son ,douglas jr that it is completley unbelievable . He is out witnessing from what iI hear day and nite with his friends and that is NOTHING LESS THAN A MIRACLE !!!!!!!!!!!! You all probably heard my story at the church oct. 3 but the TESTIMONY is ongoing now as GOD reaches into my SON and sends him forth to do GODS work ! I feel like im going to explode inside I just really dont have the words ro explain how all this is making us feel at home ITS JUST GOD AND THERE IS NO WAY TO DESCRIBE HIM WHEN HE MOVES ON YOU DIRECTLY YOU JUST HAVE TO GET WITH HIM AND EXPERIENCE HIM ON YOUR OWN THEN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHY I CANT EXPLAIN IT !!!!! HIS THOUGHTS AND WAYS ARE HIGHER THAN OUR WAYS SO HOW COULD WE EXPLAIN HIM YOU SEE WHAT IM SAYING !!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING IN GODS WILL IF YOU HAD EVER GAVE UP YOUR VISION FOR DFC THIS WOULDNT BE HAPPENING !!!!!!!!

  2. I'm so sad for their loss, that is just awful! I will pray for peace and comfort for the family.

God is doing big things, deliverance is happening for so many 🙂 For some it's instant and for others it's more gradual. Man we are so blessed to have an awesome church family! We can't get enough of the Lord and we don't want to stop being hungry for him.
