Kent Henry Event Continues Today!

Kent Henry Event Update!

Last night at dfc was absolutely mind blowing! We opened the platform @ 6:30pm for local singers and musicians… and wow is all I can say! We we’re blessed with music by the band “Salt,” and teenagers Karina Meza, and Emily Soffel. I was only able to catch the end of Karina’s song and most of Emily’s song and all I can say is WOW! From what I heard, everyone in the crowd was beyond blessed with that 30 minute bonus session!

The 7:00pm worship session was one of the top three worship encounters of my life! I had chills running all over my body, my eyes watered at least 30 times! I told my dear friend Linda White, “Sometimes I feel like a homeless man standing on the side of the road with a sign that says, ‘Will work for face to face encounters with God.’ I spend my whole life for moments like THIS ONE right here!”

We were blessed with the presence of Pastor’s, worship leaders, and church leaders from all over the region… and many very dear friends!

A pastor friend asked me on facebook about how the event was going. Here was my reply to him:

“There are no words to describe it. Exceeded my expectations by infinity. Kent Henry is drinking from the fountain of youth. He has mastered the art of peening, he is FRESH out of molting season… like the eagle that he is, Kent Henry is going for it like nobody I’ve ever met before. Over the past few years, he’s been waiting on the Lord: he plucked off every feather, broke off his beak, ripped off his talons, and laid on a high rock (in the mountain of the Lord) until he sun beat down on him… and the new feathers appeared… and the new beak appeared… and the new talons have come. He has RENEWED his strength and he is ready for another 30 years!”

Isaiah 40:28-31

Have you never heard?
Have you never understood?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
29 He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
30 Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

  1. Wow! This weekend was so amazing! Wanted to share a confirmation story. Kent Henry spoke about how the church is moving in a new direction and how America needs to wake up. You, Chuck, spoke about eagles and how they preen before they fly. Kent also spoke about maintaining purity in our marriages and not trading eternity for anyone's body and the pleasures of this world. All three of these areas were confirmed to me. I found a souvenier penny in my purse I had forgotten about that said, "The birthplace of America, Jamestown, Va." On the front of that penny was "The Old Churchtower", which confirmed the part about America needing to wake up and move in the direction God wants us to go. Then Jaylee, my daughter, found a broken part off of some kind of jewelry- half a set of gold wings that looked like eagle feathers under my chair. Then I gave in the second offering and thought I had cleaned out my pocket. I reached down into my pocket and there was only one of the many pennies left that I had planned to put in the offering. Something told me to look closely at that penny. I looked and of all the pennies I had in my pocket the one that remained had the year 1998 on it- that is year Charlie and I got married! No coincidences here! God knew I needed to recognize and remember these moments spent with Him and He gave me tangible evidence! WOW!
