Amid the Sound of The Great Celebration!

Happy Monday!

Worship at Destiny Family Center yesterday morning hit another level! I felt like I was standing in the middle of a national worship conference-goose pimples and teary eyes for the entire session! This morning, I am thanking God in prayer for our worship team. I thank God for their flaming hearts and high dedication… for the God given talents they are turning into skills… for the way they are leading our entire church and community in heavenly worship! May God bless you all: Aaron Huffer, Greg Baker, Robbie Widener, Brian Law, Ben Scott, Josh Wade, Luke Wade, Ian Hale, Caroline Law, Brittany Wade, Nikki Rankin, Brandy Hatcher, Jon Higginbotham, Brain Johnson… and all of the new people currently joining the team!

The revival that began on September 11th, 2010 is still happening! It’s coming to us in waves… one great wave after another! Yesterday was a hundred footer! Here I find myself yearning for more, wishing we had another service scheduled for tonight!

Amid The Sound of The Great Celebration

One of the highest callings of humankind is to worship God. When we trudge through dry seasons and our worship is impeded because of church problems, or hidden sin problems, or wavering faith problems… our soul can only take so much of the dryness before it longs for the presence of God like a deer longs for water! This is what David was talking about when he wrote Psalm 42.

As the deer longs for streams of water,
so I long for you, O God.
I thirst for God, the living God.

When can I go and stand before him?
Day and night I have only tears for food,
while my enemies continually taunt me, saying,
“Where is this God of yours?”

My heart is breaking
as I remember how it used to be:
I walked among the crowds of worshipers,
leading a great procession to the house of God,
singing for joy and giving thanks
amid the sound of a great celebration!

Is your soul longing for the streams of water today? Is your heart BREAKING as you remember how it used to be when you walked among the crowds of worshipers, leading a great procession to the house of God, singing for joy and giving thanks amid the sound of THE GREAT CELEBRATION?

Throw off the chains, do whatever you must… free yourself to RUN FOR THE WATERS. Put an end to this dry season, today. The river-it never runs dry! Worship, worship, worship until your thirst is fully satisfied.

Wooooosh! This is a message for someone today!

Your thoughts?

Here is a great worship video for your worship revolution.

  1. for this very reason, that i love to experience the fullness of God and i try not to "retrict" God from doing 'His thing'…it's like we think we "have to" wait for the "next wave", but i do not think we do because He is everywhere all the time. It is like, we shut the door instead of leaving it cracked and not all the way open because of our "humanistic" nature…so i guess what i am trying to say or inquire about, is this question: do i confine God and retrict Him from doing more because I did not acknowledge/accept the fact that I am human and struggling to live for God…have I listened and lived to please the "critics" in my life, or did I have a deaf ear to the "critics" and listened intently to the voice of God… i guess this is the silent struggle that some believers are dealing with a "Peter-like" attitude (denying to gain acceptance)…i guess these are things to consider…some things that seem to only last for a short time, can be our for eternity…wow…have i had the key to my mansion all this time, and never knew it…omg…i think its time to have another chit chat with God…on that note, i am going to play a song by TobyMac, titled City on Knees…have a blessed day everyone…and to everyone at Destiny, I am coming to Virginia, soon and very soon…expect a blessing!

  2. I am worshiping my way out of a yucky situation right now. An issue that I cannot fix. God is good and the best problem fixer I know!

    Mel 😀

  3. Im just simply believing that every spiritual breakthrough begins from a worship place. It always start with worship, and end with worship.
