How much longer are you going shrink back into the corners in fear? You’ve been neglected, abused, and physiologically beaten into subservience. Your self esteem is gone. Your resolve is lost and your dreams are shattered. You feel guilty for this failure, deserving of your misery.
That’s exactly how he wants you to feel.
Who is he?
He is the darkness. He is the thief. He is the devil. He is your great enemy.
“Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)
“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
Life has been harsh and bitter, so much more than you can endure, you are at a breaking point. You want to cry, but crying stopped working a long time go.
Some people have advised you to sit back down and say nothing, do nothing… just as you’ve done for most of your life. You’re tempted to comply, but you fear that you might not have another day left in you.
Is God condemning you to a future of punishment for the wrong turns in your past? Is He asking you to settle with things as they are? Is he requesting your tolerance?
No, God is not.
Tolerance is killing you.
Merriam Webster defines tolerance as “the capacity of the body to endure or become less responsive to a substance (e.g., a drug) or to a psychological insult, with repeated use or exposure.”
Modern Christians have become less and less responsive to the moral and spiritual deterioration in our nation and world. For more than fifty years, we have hidden behind a gutless banner of passive resistance. Instead of overcoming the evil sectors of our government—and our educational system, economy, entertainment industry, etc., we have become less responsive, almost unresponsive with repeated use and exposure. This didn’t happen overnight. We have been trained to submit. Instead of transforming our culture, we are conforming to it. We should be fighting hard to save our cities, holding up a flag of enduring standard, and facing a little persecution along the way. Instead, we have relinquished our influence to the louder, eviler voices. -Make Me a Legend
Most people only rise when they reach a breaking point! The defining moment comes when one provoked renegade clambers up to his feet, stills his shaking knees, and heralds out his brave rally cry, “That’s it! I will not live like this anymore! Life doesn’t have to be this way! There is a much better way! I am absolutely convinced about this and I am going after it today! Can I count you in?” -Make Me a Legend
Is this your breaking point? Is this that defining moment, when you say, “I’m going to my enemies camp and I am taking back LIFE!”
Change begins with a new attitude.
Watch this video.
In the Bible, there is a story of David returning home from a military operation only to find that his family and possessions had been taken away by a band of raiders. Just like most people do in similar circumstances, David wept out loud until he could weep no more. Then he “encouraged himself in the Lord,” through prayer and worship… and he asked God what he should do.
Then David asked the Lord, “Should I chase after this band of raiders? Will I catch them?” And the Lord told him, “Yes, go after them. You will surely recover everything that was taken from you!” (1 Samuel 30:8)
Maybe todays blog is a prophetic message for you. Maybe God is saying to you, “Enough is enough! Yes, you should chase your enemy! For you will surely recover everything that was taken from you!
Just like every morning, I prayed for you with tremendous passion. I sincerely hope you feel the difference all day long.
Have a great day everyone!
With much love…
