The Journal of a Sick Puppy

Happy Wednesday!

That’s a funny title, don’t you think? I feel very bad about not blogging since Friday. Believe it or not, I’ve been knocked to the floor with the worse cold of my life. Hopefully, I will be back to my normal self tomorrow and I’ll post a great blog for you guys to read. Until then, I have to hold my head with both hands while I cough, so that my skull doesn’t come off. And I have to moan and whimper every few minutes so that Emily comes to smile at me. (poor Chucky)

This is what happens when people eat the way I’ve been eating for the past 6 months. The immune system becomes depressed and susceptible to sickness. Eat your fruits and veggies people! Get plenty of exercise! Keep your faith shield in good repair! Take care of yourselves. It’s a sick world out there.

With much love…

Chuck

  1. I hope you get to feeling better very soon! We have had our share of illness this winter and it has not been fun! Praying for a quick healing!! And praying Em doesn't get it!! Love you guys!!

    Elaine 🙂

  2. Praying for your speedy recovery, Chuck. Emily, I am praying for you as well, that you have patience to continue your constant vigilance to take care of your sick husband. Women around the world are feeling your pain if they have ever taken care of a sick man. I love you guys. Get better soon my friend.

  3. If no "puppies" ever got sick, the vet would have no job and no interns to prepare, thereby having no ability to fulfill his purpose.

Praying for you health and strength. When you can't run, know that you have people who are running for you and at least one person sitting with you as you rest, ready to pull you too your feet when you recover. Feel better soon!

  4. I pray you feel better soon, I know Miss Em is taking great care of you.

Well this blog is profound. It's actually a great illustration of what could happen to our spirit when we don't put in the right things. If we aren't daily filling up our minds with prayer, worship, and time in the word, our spirit deteriorates and becomes sick. Filling up on gossip, worldly music, and bad company can lead to backsliding.

If we stop making healthy Godly choices we are feeding the flesh lowering our spiritual immune system and we can become offended, prideful, unforgiving and cold hearted. Ok ok I'll stop rambling it probably isn't helping your head lol.

  5. Hope you're feeling better soon! I've had quite the cold for two weeks, myself. Thought I was getting better, but these last couple of days I've been sneezing, coughing a little, had a runny nose. There's a bad one going around here, and I guess it's my turn. Reminds me of when I lived in South Korea for a year – I was sick for 2 weeks, OK for 2 weeks, sick again for 2 weeks…the entire time I was there (except for one month when I actually didn't get sick…probably because there was no school that month).

  6. Pastor, you know I would USUALLY happily take your place, shielding you from any onslaught of misery or pain of death… USUALLY

Glad you are feeling better 🙂
