Generating a Win-Despite-The-Odds!

Happy Wednesday!

Last night, I watched The Kings Speech. The finest acting I’ve experienced in a very long time, it was flawless. The film was based on the true story of Queen Elizabeth’s father overcoming a severe speech impediment to become a powerful communicator and a great King, during precarious days when Hitler attempted to enslave the world.

There are two reasons I was inspired last night.

  1. Refined talent in acting, executed impressively, (and)
  2. A win-despite-the-odds true story.

Obviously others we’re inspired just the same, because the film was nominated for seven Golden Globes, winning Best Actor-Drama for Colin Firth. Furthermore, the film also nominated for fourteen BAFTAs, the most of the other films, winning seven, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Firth, and both Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress for both Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter, respectively. The film was also nominated for 12 Academy Awards, the most of the other films, and ended up winning four, all in the major category including Best PictureBest Director for Tom Hooper, Best Actor for Firth and Best Original Screenplay for David Seidler. Why are we inspired with films like The Kings Speech?

We are inspired because real life is about wining despite the odds! In real life we must demonstrate courage to make good use of our raw and unrefined God given gifts.

Sometimes these gifts lie dormant deep within us until a crisis arises… a crises so enormous, we cannot hide from it and still live with ourselves. The crises commissions us to become the person we were born to become.

This morning, I wish to encourage each of my dear readers. You were born for something far lager than it may seem. You may look in the mirror and wonder about what you really have to offer your world. Your talent may be as hidden as The Kings Speech! Who really knows what you shall be, looking at the person you are today!

I can see it, God can see it… a crisis is calling and now is your time to RISE FROM an unbelief induced OBSCURITY. Dedicate to the progressive realization of your Father’s dream for your life! Let go of any lingering insecurities and RUN THE RACE SET BEFORE YOU.

Shock the world with your win-despite-the-odds outcome! That’s the mission, that’s the goal. Yes?

Here is a great song for this moment: Desperation Band, Overcome.

Your thoughts? Your wild dreams? Let’s generate some imagination on this post!!

Just like every morning, I prayed for you with tremendous passion. I sincerely hope you feel the difference all day long.

Have a great day everyone!

With much love…

Dream Big, Live Bold, and Make the Difference!

  1. Wow! What an inspiring moment for me reading this blog. It reminds me of a song a childhood minister who used to sing, a song that said, "let God arise and my enemies be scattered". I used to love singing this song because it reminded me that when/where I am weak, He (God) is strong!

And, this blog also comes at a time when I am running out of my meds and relying on God to supply my needs. This problem arose after someone else did not do what they were suppose to do and its now having a domino effect on me. Yet, I am learning to rest more in God and not to dwell or build a habitat in a sea of worries… this too shall pass…because God got "full custody" of me 'before I was even in my mother's womb' (Jeremiah 1)

  2. I loved The King's Speech, too! It was definitely inspiring, as is your post for today! I definitely feel inspired from reading your words. Thank you so much for sharing them.
