Ask 4 An Upgrade, Permit Yourself 2 Rise!

Happy Thursday!

I just re-read yesterdays blog, To Be Loved, and it warmed my heart again this morning! You should read it one more time… and sincerely act on the suggestions it evokes.

Have you seen this highly creative youtube video? Bathtub IV, by Keith Loutit

Quotes on creativity

“Sometimes you’ve got to let everything go – purge yourself. If you are unhappy with anything . . . whatever is bringing you down, get rid of it. Because you’ll find that when you’re free, your true creativity, your true self comes out.” -Tina Turner

“Creativity often consists of merely turning up what is already there. Did you know that right and left shoes were thought up only a little more than a century ago?” -Bernice Fitz

We are capable of so much more, the possibilities are limitless compared with what we have been in the past!

Take King Solomon for example: “God gave Solomon very great wisdom and understanding, and knowledge as vast as the sands of the seashore. In fact, his wisdom exceeded that of all the wise men of the East and the wise men of Egypt. He was wiser than anyone else, including Ethan the Ezrahite and the sons of Mahol—Heman, Calcol, and Darda. His fame spread throughout all the surrounding nations. He composed some 3,000 proverbs and wrote 1,005 songs. He could speak with authority about all kinds of plants, from the great cedar of Lebanon to the tiny hyssop that grows from cracks in a wall. He could also speak about animals, birds, small creatures, and fish. And kings from every nation sent their ambassadors to listen to the wisdom of Solomon.” (1 Kings 4:29-34 NLT)

Was Solomon naturally gifted with a godlike mind? No, he was not. Solomon was a regular person just like you and me… and he asked God for WISDOM.

“The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for wisdom. So God replied, ‘Because you have asked for wisdom in governing my people with justice and have not asked for a long life or wealth or the death of your enemies—I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have! And I will also give you what you did not ask for—riches and fame! No other king in all the world will be compared to you for the rest of your life! And if you follow me and obey my decrees and my commands as your father, David, did, I will give you a long life.'” (1 Kings 3:10-14 NLT)

Why don’t you and I become the innovators of today… creators of tomorrow! Think. Pray and listen, journal and doodle, strategize and execute, dream and create!

Stop settling with the current version of yourself. Ask for an upgrade! Permit yourself to rise! Honor your Father in heaven by becoming all that He had in mind when he gave you LIFE.

No more excuses! So there are things in your world that you don’t like. Think. Pray and listen, journal and doodle, strategize and execute, dream and create!

Solomon is the same man who wrote: “…Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest…” (Proverbs 2:1-10 NLT)

Wow! This will change someone’s life today!

I’m praying for you every day, even on the days I’m not able to post a blog. Please don’t ever stop praying for me. Though I am on the brink of something very big, I am faced with many challenges. Your love and support really do make the difference. With much love…

  1. Love it! Ya know, it's so strange. I thought I was wise…running all over, doing so much, learning more….but what I lacked was the wisdom to enjoy simplicity. I was so busy striving I had no time for living. God spoke to me to drop everything I was doing and CHILL OUT! That's sooo not me! But I am happier now than I have ever been. I am the kernel of wheat that was refusing to drop off and die so I could be replanted and grow anew. But I finally gave in, died to self and now I'm just a little seedling being nourished by the Father's hand. The struggle to break ground will make me stronger and the harvest will be plentiful, but only if the proper growth and ripening time is allowed. I feel that I have just began my journey toward wisdom, of which the highest form is kindness. My heart and mind are being renewed, as well as my marriage and my relationship with God and humanity. Some people don't understand my new -found desire to just CHILL or why I'm not "doing", but I have to do as my Father instructs.

  2. Thanks Pastor Chuck!! I have been going through some things and when I get up its like the devil knocks me back down and then GOD and I are going to get through this!! I have to remember that WORRY IS A SIN! Thank you so much!! My motto now is I WANT MORE OF GOD IN ME!!! Take care and love ya!! And I will keep praying for you as well!

  3. Yet another very inspiring post! I can definitely use more wisdom in my life – not that I had it (or much of it) before. So, I am going to pray for wisdom :o).

    • Let me know how it turns out Shelley. I'm agreeing with you and praying for you… that you will experience a noticeable increase of wisdom.

  4. I love this! I was just sitting with a friend the other day and I was encouraging her to write down her dreams and visions because there was wisdom from God in them! I have been watching her grow so quickly recently and it inspires me to want to grow more! Awesome, awesome, awesome! Thanks Pastor Chuck!!
