Be Like The Spring Time!

Journal Thought: Be like the spring time: bud, blossom, & be colorful! This is a growing season. Rise with a morning song, reach for the sunlight, and thrive!

For I [God] will pour out water to quench your thirst and to irrigate your parched fields. And I [God] will pour out my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your children. They will thrive like watered grass, like willows on a riverbank. (Isaiah 44:3-4 NLT)

This is a beautiful promise from Scripture, to the people of God.

  • I [God] will pour out water to quench your thirst!
  • I [God] will pour out water to irrigate your parched fields!
  • I [God] will pour out my Spirit on your descendants!
  • I [God] will pour out my blessing on your children!
  • They [You and your Children] will thrive like watered grass, like willows on a riverbank!

To have this blessing, you have to live for God and believe in His promises.

This morning as I pray, I believe God’s promises over my life and yours.

You do the same! Refuse to stay in the depression of winter. Open your windows, listen to the birds, smell the fragrance of spring time in the atmosphere! Permit yourself to GROW and THRIVE.

Dream Big, Live Bold, and Make A Difference!

  1. ‘To have this blessing, you have to live for God and believe in His promises.’ This is so true. Man, good things really start to happen when we have faith.

    • Yes they do! Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for anyone who comes to Him must believe that he is and the He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” You have that faith Mel, you are moving the mountains and making a difference every day!

  2. Beautiful photo! It’s still quite bare here, and a few patches of snow here and there – certainly not looking much like spring yet, but it’s on it’s way!

I struggle with the blessings for children, descendents, etc. since I don’t have any…but desire to have them. I, however, do need to have some quenching and irrigation though…so I can at least cling to that.

    • Shelley… move to Virginia, I will find you a very nice DFC man, marry you off, and then dedicate all of your children to the Lord!! What the heck, let’s go for it? lol, really I’m praying for you this afternoon. Hope the temperatures rise in Canada soon! 🙂

  3. Spring is my favorite season of the year. I always get excited about the potential there is in what seems to be a brown and barren land before Spring comes. It’s the same way with people when we let Jesus bring the warmth of His love and refreshing of His Living Water into our dry and barren hearts and souls. The potential hidden there springs to life with amazing results.

    • Rose, yes me too… watching the barren land BRING FORTH is a beautiful miracle. It reminds us that GOD can do the same thing in our lives AT LEAST once a year! Thanks for blessing us with your comments. 🙂

  4. Amen! Clinging to those promises! Thanks for the timely message. Just woke up this morning with a fire in my spirit. I know God’s up to something big!:)
Prayers and blessings to you and to everyone else who commented.
Shelley, God will give you the desires of your heart since it is He who put those desires in you:)

    • Amanda, I can feel the heat of this fire burning with your words. God IS up to something BIG. Thanks for the prayers and blessings! You are such a blessing to everyone in my life.
