To Win, You Must OUTLAST The Opposition

I’m working on this Sunday’s message for Destiny Family Center…

Champions of the Faith Series
The Winning Attitude

To win, you must outlast the opposition!

Others can stop you temporarily, but you’re the only one who can do it permanently. -Author John Maxwell

There were times in my life… when hatred and cruelty came at me like Kryptonite shells fired from a cannon.

I thought, “Surely these people are living in creepy basements with a hundred candles, and stabbing needles into a Chuck figurine.”

It was terrifying, even paralyzing at times.

But I refused to drown in a puddle of my own tears.

I got up and fought for my worthwhile dreams… and you can do the same!

Consider him (Jesus) who endured such opposition from sinners, so that YOU will not grow weary and lose heart. (Hebrews 12:3 NIV)

Jesus had a winning attitude.

And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. (Hebrews 12:1b-2 NLT)

Get up and live, you can beat this!!

Here’s the perfect video for today’s post.

Have a beautiful day… you’re a winner.

Dream Big,

Chuck

  1. Wow! Worship the Lord with this one! Intake the words written…and Praise our God, thankfully, with the music! Thank You, Jesus! Thank you, Pastor Chuck! Fun, flying with the Lord, this morning!

  2. Wow, I needed this. Did you know that Walt Disney was once fired from a newspaper because he: “lacked imagination and had no original ideas!” Makes you want to hang tough just to think of it!

  3. We face many crossroads all throughout life and with that acknowledgement, comes the need to be a “champion of faith” in all the ways we know how. Why? How come? What for? It is not so much needed to satisfy others and their expectations, but because as believers, we aim to become more like Our Creator. Truly, we are all created to be a blessing, yet we struggle to see ourselves sometimes as a blessing. For example, some of us are driven by impulse, but what if more of us were driven my faith? Wow! What an awesome concept to consider and rethink on as we further in our journey with God.

  4. Truth. The book says “he who endures to the end shall be saved” right? easy, right? Not always. We all have those days where it’s easy to love others and God, then we have days where we are hanging on by our fingernails. But we got to hang on.
