My New England Patriots are playing Tim Tebow’s Denver Broncos at 4:15pm EST.

I think we might be in trouble.

I have been a New England Patriots fan since the early 80′s, and I’m a huge fan of anyone who shines for Christ like Tim Tebow… so today, I lose no matter what. Pray for me? lol

Happy Sunday!

Yesterday, we adventured through Staunton Virginia… ate chocolates from the newly opened (second location) Coco Mill Chocolate Factory. AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS and owned and operated by our friends, Mike and Sarah Mayo.

After that, we walked to a very fun shop: Retro & Me, also owned and operated by close friends, Kristin Condra (and her great husband Jake).

We walked around the downtown area for a little longer and ended at the legendary pet store, Pet’s N Pals, owned and operated by another close friend Chris Foschini (and his great wife Stephanie).

Just like every time we go to the pet store, we held puppies and whatnot (first time I’ve used the word “whatnot” in a blog). Then there was a beautiful yellow, American Singing Canary… singing like he was winning the opera!! It was the biggest impulse purchase of my life (not really, but of my recent life for sure). We took home TWO canaries and a very nice man-made indoor bird sanctuary.

Introducing Frank and Marilyn Balsamo! Frank is the handsome fellow on the top swing and Marilyn is the beautiful princess on the stick below him.

Frank is finally starting to sing again, now that he’s getting used to living with us. He’s still holding back though. Marilyn is the quiet one, she just chirps every once in a while. We gave them a nest, in case they want to have babies! lol

Today, I’m anticipating a church service to remember at Destiny Family Center, and the same at 2:30-5:30pm Bible College… then tonight, we’re going to Hull’s Drive-In!

Happy Friday!

It is with great pleasure that I write to you on this lovely Friday afternoon. As of 3:16pm this afternoon, I have finished the final edit of my book manuscript, “Make Me a Legend!” This is an epic moment for mankind!

Of course, this manuscript will need to pass through the scrutiny of my publisher’s editorial staff, but as far as I am concerned, this is a COMPLETED MANUSCRIPT!

Make Me a Legend, is now ready to spread its wings and fly!

Unless something changes, I will be signing a major publishing contract on Monday afternoon… and that will be the very first moment to the rest of my life and ministry! Every dream and vision, every prophecy and premonition, every wish, notion, hunch, and desire is getting ready to HAPPEN ALL AT ONCE! These are very exciting days!

Thank you all for helping me so much throughout this process. There is no way I could have finished this divine assignment if it were not for the constant assistance and encouragement of my amazing wife and kids (Emily, Coree, and Heaven Balsamo), close friends and other family, church family, blog tribe, and my many faithful mentors, peers, and apprentices. I love you all so very much! Special thank you to my editing team: Megan Doyle, Marcus Maranto, and Kristin Via! You guys put such a shine on this book, we will need to offer complimentary sunglasses with each copy! lol

As you can imagine, my mind can finally rest for the first time in 5 long years… so I am taking off from blogging for the weekend. Maybe this short break will give me the opportunity to comprehend the full magnitude of this moment.

Happy Saturday!

I usually try to write something light on Saturday, since most people are trying to recapture their sanity from a long workweek. I hope you enjoyed this weeks Happy People Blog Series! I loved writing it for you! Blogging is one of my favorite things to do… because I know the difference it makes for so many people everyday!

Today, I’m posting a variety of photo’s from my daughters 18th birthday celebration. As you will see, we had a highly memorable family moment!

Happy Heaven Day Everyone!

Heaven Day? What is Heaven Day? Today is my daughter “Heaven Ashlee Balsamo’s“ 18th birthday! I’m positive, I’ve never seen any person this excited about a birthday. You guys have no idea how long a list of requests I will be trying to carry out (successfully) today! God help me. lol

Here are a few of my favorite Heaven photo’s of the past few years!

**Special note: Did you see the “creeper” photo? I laugh out load whenever I see it! We were at the beach and there was this creepy guy that came help everyone burry Heaven… and I didn’t realize it at the time when I took the photo, but his was forming boobs on Heaven with the sand! Look at her face… and Coree’s face!!! Believe me, you had to be there to get the entire effect… and no, my daughter was not in any real danger. It is a story we will tell a hundred times in the future and we’ll laugh just as hard every time!

That’s all for today. I’m off to pick up 2 carmel donuts and 4 strips of crunchy bacon! lol
