Turning a Bad Morning Into a Best Day!

Happy Tuesday!

A short message from Chuck…

“AT&T, grrrrrrrrr! Once again, AT&T has ruined my my life! Lol! (not) First, with my pathetic cell phone service… when they drop my calls–something like 5 to 10 times every day, (sometimes MORE than that!) And now, this morning… I am in Northern Virgina for the A/G District Council… I woke up with a nice happy smile, ready to change the world with my super-duper blog… and instead of doing that, I spent ONE HOUR trying to connect with my AT&T hotel wifi.

No, this was not an instance of user ignorance, you guys! There was an INSANE glitch on the AT&T connection portal… uugggh!”

The rest of the story from Chucks assistant…

This was the state of things earlier this morning when my hard-working, terrific boss–and Pastor–was sniped out of commission by creativity enemy # 1… the technology demon! lol

Hello everyone… this is Kristin Via, Pastor Chuck’s trusty assistant! As you can imagine from Chucks statement, he was running very late for today’s district meeting, and he asked me to help post todays blog.

The above message opener was actually photo’d from a cell phone and then e-mailed to the office, where I could transcribe his frustrations for you guys! Please ask God to fix this problem before something bad happens. Haha! No, I’m just kidding, he’ll be fine, I’m somewhat certain of that! lol

Anyway, I was thinking about the beginning of my Pastor’s day… how his morning must have begun. A well rested Chuck must have moved over to his hotel desk, while the spring birds were joyfully chirping outside of his hotel window… Emily must have been joyfully chirping (in her sleep) in the hotel bed… Pastor Chuck must have been smiling into his laptop screen, his fingers must have been so happy to be typing another message for the tribe! And then…

To be continued? (smile) Yeah, to be continued because… this day is still happening. And even though it started with frustration, it still has the potential of turning into a SUPER DAY!

I’m confident that Chucks dreadful early morning will be swallowed up in a triumphant morning, noon, afternoon, evening, and night!

So, I’m wondering how many of you out there have had to race with challenges strait out of your gate? How did your victories unfold? Perhaps you had something really challenging happen to you over the weekend, or THIS MORNING. How are YOU going to TURN IT AROUND? Think back over the past few weeks… about those times when it seemed like you were heading down a path of certain disaster… and somehow, you TURNED IT AROUND or God turned it around FOR YOU!

Think about some of those times, when you were hopeless and helpless… and frustrated with AT&T, or with someone else or something else… and your BAD MORNING BECAME YOUR BEST DAY!

Please, add value to my message with a few of your own stories! Tell us about a time when your BAD MORNING BECAME YOUR BEST DAY!

Have a winning Tuesday, eveyone!

Kristin Via

Out of town

This post is from Jonathan Woodard, to let you know that Chuck will be posting pretty soon, but he’s getting back from his speaking engagement in a place without internet. Chuck fully intends on making this a daily blog, but I dropped the ball by posting late. Sorry, all.

A Red Carpet Please! =)

Happy Mother’s Day Sunday Friends!

My mom left the earth three years ago… and I still think about her every single day! My grandmother lost two children and her husband over the past three years… and I pray for her every day! I pray also for the childless ladies, kids without moms, and moms who have lost their children. God be with you all and give you GRACE and JOY on this beautiful day!

Yesterday, Emily and I drove to Richmond to see Coree and Heaven off to Prom. I had NO IDEA how much FUN that whole experience would be! All these years I couldn’t figure out why parents got so whacky about this. I mean it’s just a dance… and so what, you’re kids are a little dressed up, right? Wrong… VERY wrong people!

I just cant explain it… and neither can you until it happens! Seeing you kids all beautified and loving all that attention they are getting… watching them SMILE like crazy… and LAUGH their heads off… and… Oh, and TAKING PICTURES! Let me tell you! Wayne, Robin, Dave, Millie, Merle, Emily, and I… we were the WILDEST paparazzi EVER! We were elbowing each other… and GROWLING at each other… flashes going every second for something like 45 minutes (or more)!

I love my kids… SO MUCH! That experience was a MUCH BIGGER deal than I had estimated. Thank God for kids… and thank God for all the many experiences we enjoy through our loving FAMILIES! Life is good!

Happy Mother’s Day to all you MOMS in my bloggies circle! I hope you gals get the red carpet treatment ALL DAY LONG! I’m getting ready to cook the Mother of my children some PANCAKES for breakfast in bed… and then I’m going to give her a few lovely gifts… and a card… and I’m gonna tell her how special she is to me… and then I’m going to give her a pedicure (just kidding about this!)… and then I’m going to wash the dishes and do a load of laundry… and make the bed… and walk the dogs… and then, I’m heading for church to INSPIRE all the other MOMS in our community… and after that, just doing whatever Emily wants to do today!

Remember guys… we always REAP what we SOW… and Father’s Day is JUST AHEAD! LOL

Proverbs 31:25-31

25 She is clothed with strength and dignity,
and she laughs without fear of the future.

26 When she speaks, her words are wise,
and she gives instructions with kindness.

27 She carefully watches everything in her household
      and suffers nothing from laziness.

28 Her children stand and bless her.
      Her husband praises her:

29 “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,
      but you surpass them all!”

 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the L
ord will be greatly praised.

31 Reward her for all she has done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.

Ok… well, I better GET TO WORK… no time to linger this morning… I’m a BUSY LITTLE CHUCKY TODAY… tottalooo everyone!
