Good Morning Friends!
I want there to be no question about this :: I am pro-Israel.
Though I am not as Israel educated as some of my friends, my love for the Jewish people is very strong.
The following message was written on January 3, 2009. During that time, Israel was being attacked from Hezbollah, the situation was bleak. And I wrote…
My heart is burning for Israel today, more than ever. I just read an email from a very dear friend who is living there. He pleaded with me for prayer, as he described the exploding missiles in his neighborhood.
These attacks are unjustified acts of terror against innocent Israeli civilians.
I am praying to the God of the armies of heaven, that He will step into the middle of this conflict and defend his chosen people.
Here is what God said about Israel thousands of years ago…
“For my own honor and for the sake of my servant David, I will defend this city and protect it.” That night the angel of the Lord went out to the Assyrian camp and killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. When the surviving Assyrians woke up the next morning, they found corpses everywhere. (2Kings 19:34-35)
No matter how far Israel drifts from God, she will always be a signet ring on His finger. Even in times of judgment, a remnant has always remained.
My prayer today is that Israel will not fight this battle in her own strength. That she will turn to God and ask for His help!
Throughout history, every time Israel committed her battles to the Lord, He fought FOR her and ANNIHILATED her enemies.
If these terror cells will not stop pursing a land that is not theirs. If they will not stop striking and killing innocent people who are only trying to defend their own rightful territory. Then, rise Oh God and help Israel in our day.
Here is a prophecy spoken over Israel. This is how God feels about Israel. He will never change His mind about this.
So Balaam returned and found the king standing beside his burnt offerings with all the officials of Moab. “What did the Lord say?” Balak asked eagerly. This was the message Balaam delivered:
“Rise up, Balak, and listen!
Hear me, son of Zippor.
19 God is not a man, so he does not lie.
He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act?
Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
20 Listen, I received a command to bless;
God has blessed, and I cannot reverse it!
21 No misfortune is in his plan for Jacob;
no trouble is in store for Israel.
For the Lord their God is with them;
he has been proclaimed their king.
22 God brought them out of Egypt;
for them he is as strong as a wild ox.
23 No curse can touch Jacob;
no magic has any power against Israel.
For now it will be said of Jacob,
‘What wonders God has done for Israel!’
24 These people rise up like a lioness,
like a majestic lion rousing itself.
They refuse to rest
until they have feasted on prey,
drinking the blood of the slaughtered!”(Numbers 23:17-24)
Always pray for Israel. Pray for the terrorist organizations to have a change of heart concerning Israel and the USA. Pray for diplomacy and peace in the middle east. Actively resist anti-Semitism by speaking out for Israel whenever the opportunity arises.
God Bless You,
Chuck Balsamo
