Written 11.05.08 (the day after election 08)

Dear Friends,

Even though I am deeply saddened with the election results, I am hopeful that this course of direction will take us to our knees expeditiously. As a nation, we have firmly decided to make a sharp left turn down a godless liberal path. Even though there is a band of Americans who are still holding on to our ancient landmarks, we are most definitely outnumbered.

If John McCain had been elected, we would have went back to sleep in a false sense of security, not realizing our true spiritual condition. This morning we know that a majority of Americans no longer see the value of her traditional roots. We have elected this leader because most of our citizens desire to let go of these seemingly antiquated roots to create a new America… an America without moral fortitude… an unchristian America… an America who no longer considers herself to be one nation under God’s supreme authority.

We are just now stepping all the way over this line… and we really have no idea where this is going to take us. At first, it may seem like the best decision we have made in a hundred years… but over time, the effects of this decision will be felt on every plane. And perhaps, after enough pain, we will invite the God who founded us to found us again.

As for me, I will support our new President with great respect and all my prayers… and I will do this with the grace of God. I offer my wholehearted congratulations to President Elect Obama, for making world history and becoming our first African-American President. I applaud this monumental accomplishment. I pray that God will place his hands on Mr. Obama and his family, that God will light their hearts and light their way.

I pray for John McCain and Sarah Palin and their families. I thank God for the humility we all felt in John’s words last night. I pray that these two families will maintain the momentum their campaign has afforded them, and they will use it to bless our land in some big way.

I will continue to seek reform within the body I represent… the body of Christ. And I will hope that my influence will make us better and far more useful in a country who will need us once again in the not too distant future. These are exciting times for us… even though we didn’t want this, we needed it… so do not hang low your heads, these are becoming the opportune days we have all been longing for. God bless you all and God please continue to bless our nation, the United States of America!
