Hello and Good Morning!

The first week of the New Year has finally arrived! This is it… full engines ahead! All plans activated! Clean out your refrigerators, throw away your cigarettes, join the gym, get in your first workout, pick up your bible and read a few chapters, have a meaningful prayer time, experience something new, do something compassionate… be kinder and far more patient with yourself and others. Remember, it’s a New Year and you are a NEW PERSON with NEW AND EXCITING RESOLUTIONS!

Today, I’m giving you guys a great tool for successful living. So much of our greatness has to do with our EYES. Whatever we focus on and monitor grows. We become what we think about all the time. And if we can seize control of our eye gates, then things will go so much better for us.

Jesus said it like this, “Your eye is a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is good, your whole body is filled with light. But when it is bad, your body is filled with darkness. Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness. If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.”

As one of your first great actions of 2009, make a covenant with your eyes! Job 31:1 talks about the covenant he made with his eyes… not to look on a woman with lust. There are many destructive things entering human souls through unbridled eyes. Good eyes certainly make the difference!

According to this teaching, the human eye is a GATEWAY INTO THE SOUL. When we control this gate, only allowing LIGHT to ENTER… when we aggressively BLOCK OUT THE DARK… it is then that our WHOLE LIVES WILL BE RADIENT… AS THOUGH A FLOODLIGHT WERE FILLING IT WITH LIGHT!
