Momentum: Never Faint, Loosen, or Relax!

Happy Wednesday!

I decided to blog from my patio… this is the perfect morning. There is a slight chill in the air, a gentle breeze, the birds are waking. I felt like the time spent outside would be much better on my mind, than to rush off to my office. How right I was!

Momentum: Never Faint, Loosen, or Relax!

Everybody seemed to love yesterdays blog: Guess What? You’re a Guaranteed Winner! From the facebook comments, I could so feel like people were saying, “Please encourage me, build me up!”

Really, when I wrote that message, I had no idea about how many people were right now suffering with a loser spirit. I personally hate it when this happens to me… whenever I’m doing my very best for God, my family, and this world… and my efforts seem to be fruitless.

Galatians 6:9 (Amplified version) And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.

Don’t lose heart, grow weary, and faint… in acting nobly and doing right!
There is a due time, an appointed season when we will see the reward of our noble efforts!
We will definitely reap the harvest, only if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint!

Any time you’re acting nobly and doing right… it’s always making a difference! Positive in is positive out! Action causes reaction! But not usually right away… ask any farmer about the time gap between planting and harvesting!

There is a huge KEY to breakthrough waiting to be grasped here in Galatians 6:9… Don’t FAINT, LOOSEN, or RELAX! Read it again, focusing on those three words… and watch what happens!

Forward momentum is always the reward of FAITH and ENDURANCE! Backward momentum is the penalty of FEAR and INCONSISTENCY!

We have to break the destructive cycle of starting up noble and right actions… and then fainting, and loosening, and relaxing every time we encounter opposition and delay!

Do the noble things, do the right things… every day, every month, every hour, every second… without wavering… without fainting, loosening, and relaxing!

We have to believe in our dream before many others believe in our dream… we have to plant our dream and water our dream and nurture our dream… and sacrifice for our dream, long before it YIELDS a harvest! We have to get up everyday and ENCOURAGE OURSELVES in the wee hours of each morning! We have to pray UNTIL something happens! This is the ONLY way we will ever see the big things happen in our lives!

Journal & Announcement

Last Night! The church meeting with Pastor David Kumar from India… it was so beautiful! My only regret is that we were not able to spread the news to enough people before he came. I wish everyone could have attended those two very special meetings! May God bless David as he heads back to India soon.

Tonight! The anticipation has been building around Destiny Family Center for about a month! We’re finally starting a 13 week Wednesday night series: The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership! This is a John Maxwell DVD curriculum: a 10 minute DVD for each session, then some additional teaching from ME, and we’ll be breaking into small groups for discussion. I’m beside myself over what this is going to mean to so many of my dear friends! Each night starts at 7pm pronto… see you here?

epic strength: from forward motion & positive developments

Happy Friday!

Amazing day yesterday was! The blog site was on fire. I loved the interaction! I actually got butterflies in my gut yesterday thinking about how FAST our stats are climbing and how influential this tribe is becoming.

Yesterday, at my Destiny Family Center office, we experienced the most productive day of the YEAR! Every meeting was highly INNOVATIVE… the ENERGY was epic! It’s SHOCKING to consider HOW FAST THINGS CAN TURN AROUND!

When I was in business, I learned that todays efforts are building (life, business, career, ministry) 90 days out… there is not much I can do to change RIGHT NOW at this moment… but I can change the NEXT QUARTER… RIGHT NOW! Does this make sense?

Whatever is going on in our lives today is the result of things we have done for the past 90 days to several years. We harvest the SEEDS of yesterday… we reap what we have sown or NOT SOWN.

This is a petrifying reality… because most of us need CHANGE as SOON as we RECOGNIZE our need for change! One day we wake up saying WOW, whats happened to my world? My God, I have to FIX this right now! Hurry up everyone… emergency meeting to discuss how to turn this around in 7 days! But, that’s not usually possible, is it?

Life is all about MOMENTUM.

Webster defines momentum as 1: a property of a moving body that the body has by virtue of its MASS and MOTION and that is equal to the product of the body’s MASS and VELOCITY : a property of a moving body that determines the LENGTH OF TIME required to BRING IT TO REST when under the action of a CONSTANT FORCE OR MOVEMENT 2: strength or force GAINED BY MOTION or through the DEVELOPMENT OF EVENTS.

For this topic of discussion, definition two says it best. Momentum is the strength or force gained by MOTION or through the DEVELOPMENT OF EVENTS.

In the world of momentum, there is a POSITIVE MOMENTUM and a NEGATIVE MOMENTUM… and both forces can take us to places we NEVER imagined! Which side of momentum are you on today?

If one desires to do anything substantial, he or she must learn to BUILD UP EPIC DEGREES OF STRENGTH OR FORCE… by FORWARD MOTION or through the development of POSITIVE EVENTS.

For me, momentum is built by:

keeping my daily walk with God fresh and vibrant,
loving and serving my wife and kids,
being ON when I am ON and OFF when I am OFF,
meditating on my vision 30 minutes EVERY day,
taking care of my health,
keeping my conscious clear by repenting of my sins,
maintaining confidence and boldness,
focusing on who I am in Christ and how much God loves me,
valuing others above myself,
seeking to bless EVERY person I intersect with,
sacrificing and serving the people I lead,
meditating on God’s Word ALL DAY, EVERY DAY,
spending daily time praising and worship God,
blogging, twittering, writing, and speaking with epic levels of passion,
demonstrating FAITH in all my thoughts and actions,
resolving to be listen for Gods direction and be led by his Holy Spirit!

I’m sure there are more… thats a good start for the discussion! Please share your MOMENTUM BUILDERS with the rest of us… and comment on the 16 I have listed.

Galatians 6:7-10 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9LET US NOT BECOME WEARY IN DOING GOOD, for at THE PROPER TIME we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us DO GOOD TO ALL PEOPLE, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

If your world is really messed up today… be very careful not to mull around in the mess. Ask God for ENDURANCE… and START BUILDING UP NEW MOMENTUM for a better tomorrow! Things can change… your big dreams can be realized… with the strength that is gained by FORWARD MOTION and through the DEVELOPMENT OF POSITIVE EVENTS!
