Dear Friends,
I’m attending a Romney/Ryan political rally in my hometown on Thursday… there I said it. lol
Until now, I’ve been hesitant to let anyone know where I stand. It seems that politics are dividing people more now than at any other time in history.
Please don’t let this happen to you and your family and friends, if you can help it.
As a leader, I take a big risk with this post.
I care deeply for many people who are republicans, democrats, and independents… and I don’t want to lose a single friend over my political position.
Over the past 4 years, I have been very careful not to say a single negative word about our President. I have honored him in my heart and I have sincerely prayed for his success. (I’ve likely prayed for President Obama more than 98% of Americans. I’ve invested hours and hours of personal prayer for him.)
And now as a nation, we have to decide together if we keep this President or elect another.
In my humble opinion, after hearing both visions for America… it’s clear to me.
I want to rebuild the foundations of the American economy on the principles of free enterprise, hard work, and innovation. I want to build a stronger middle class, with more jobs, more take-home pay, and better opportunities.
And I personally believe that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have a real plan to accomplish this.
To my friends: It’s ok if we disagree with each other about which direction is best for our country. If you are voting for President Obama, I can still love you.
We should not be angry and hateful about our disagreements. We should not power up on each other with sarcasm and hostility.
To me, harmony is more about mutual respect than it is about agreement.
Please make sure you are registered to vote and that you are active in the political process. Please be respectful with those who do not share your opinions.
Most of all, consider this: No matter which candidate we choose, we will need God’s grace if we will have any chance at thriving again. So please pray for America, that God will help us rise from the ashes… and live again. God bless you all, and may God please bless America.
Have a beautiful day.
