Happy Saturday!
Life is measured by the condition of our relationships.
You can have possessions and (shallow) popularity, a house and a great career… but without people to share it with, life is…
empty.
You’ve heard the saying, “As long as we have each other, we will make it through this.”
Disaster with faith and companionship is usually an adventure, but a perfect life without the same is always a disaster.
Nothing satisfies the longing of the heart like being in close relationship with God, and in close relationship with caring people.
Life is simple: It’s about the vertical relationship (with God) and horizontal relationships (with people). If you master these two things, you will have a happy future-guaranteed!
Think about this: Whenever you reach impossible situations, you don’t usually need an immediate solution, as long as you have someone to hug… as long as you don’t have to suffer alone.
Here is what King Solomon had to say about the topic…
Ecclesiastes 4:8-12
8 There was a man all alone;
he had neither son nor brother.
There was no end to his toil,
yet his eyes were not content with his wealth.
“For whom am I toiling,” he asked,
“and why am I depriving myself of enjoyment?”
This too is meaningless—
a miserable business!
9 Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
I’ve had so many people say to me, “I just can’t help everyone, in fact, I can’t help anyone these days.”
Yes, you can help!
give love.
Listen to the suffering people. Hug them when they cry.
You can turn disasters into adventures! Give the gift of prayer.
Pray together! Face life together! No person suffers alone. No person celebrates victory alone. No person, alone.
Today, I thank God for his love. I feel it always present, like the morning sun that is rising now over my chilly patio. I thank God for my family and friends. I thank God for love, His love and yours!
