Youth Led Church TONIGHT!

Good Wednesday & Happy Morning!

So, I’m in my office yesterday working my little buttocks off, right. (The past month has been pretty intense for us… launching the new year at Destiny Family Center is a massive undertaking. So, in order to maintain balance in my 9 life equities, the book had to be put on hold for 30 days. Believe me, it’s been bumming me out at times, knowing that I’m so close to finishing!)

At about 2:00pm, I returned a call from last week, having no idea what was going to happen next! This call was to a fellow author in Richmond, Virginia. Gail Strother just finished publishing her first book… it’s an amazing allegory… stunningly prophetic considering that she wrote it before the economic crises of this past year! I was privileged several months back; to write the endorsement for Gail’s book, “Bless Me With Less!”

The conversation started out with me asking questions about how her book was doing… she replied with the news of its recent national release, her upcoming book signings, and some other very exciting news! Then Gail asked how my book was coming along. I squirmed in my chair as I tried to explain my schedule and how that I was trying to balance everything in order to get back to writing. I told her that all I needed was 3-4 uninterrupted weeks and I would be finished!

With a smile that radiated through the phone, Gail said, “Chuck, I feel like the world NEEDS your book and you need to get it finished fast! I also feel like the Lord is having me talk to you and that now is the time to move towards publishing.” I was obviously thankful for the much welcomed encouragement and her confidence in my work.

Gail Strother didn’t end her exhortation with words… she continued, “To confirm this burden I have from the Lord, I’m writing you a check for $4000 to be used for publishing however you see fit.” What! Yes she did you guys! And more than likely, I’m going to use these funds for hiring an agent to negotiate with publishers on my behalf.
