The Joy Of Bouncing Back!!

Last night during a DFC prayer meeting, God spoke a 4 word sentence to me.

Some would think it cliché, but when those 4 words hit my spirit, the hair stood up on my head!

God said, “The Victory Is Yours!”

I shared that message with the prayer team, and we all went wild.

Then I told them how God has been pouring new life into me since the beginning of this year.

I can hardly believe it, but this last season of fierce trial and testing has actually ended!

The iron storm clouds that blacked out my skies for the past 5 years have been driven away by a supernatural force.

The sun is out. It’s shining brightly and it’s here to stay!

Here is what I wrote in my journal this morning…

Joy Comes In The Morning

Has it been too long since you last soared with the eagles?

Have you been doing everything you know to do… refusing to curse God, refusing to quit on your dreams, and refusing to die?

James 1:12 says, “God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.”

That is what you have to do in a trial. Hold on, patiently endure, keep doing the right things with whatever strength you have.

No trial lasts forever. Yours will end, I promise you it will!

And when it does, you will be GLAD YOU HELD ON!

We Raise Our White Flag, The War Is Over, Love Has Come!

Something BIG happened for me in last nights prayer meeting, even bigger than I first realized. I went home feeling like I was standing on top of a very tall mountain!

We emphasized God’s love for us, His kindness and favor fighting in us and for us… the victory that we HAVE.

Linda White quoted from Psalm 85

Lord, you poured out blessings on your land!
You restored the fortunes of Israel.
You forgave the guilt of your people—
yes, you covered all their sins. Interlude
You held back your fury.
You kept back your blazing anger.

Unfailing love and truth have met together.
Righteousness and peace have kissed!
Truth springs up from the earth,
and righteousness smiles down from heaven.
Yes, the Lord pours down his blessings.
Our land will yield its bountiful harvest.

If you had been there, you might have said that we were out of balance. How could God impress us with so many positive thoughts in one hour? Surely, He was unhappy about something. But, we kept speaking what we felt in our hearts and minds… and we prayed with SO MUCH HOPE and FAITH and HAPPINESS!

I woke this morning, and the victory was still in my heart.

All day, I’ve had a profound sense of expectation… like something VERY BIG is getting ready to happen in my personal life and ministry. Like every prophecy spoken over my life is WAKING from a COMA to BLESS ME NOW!

This afternoon in my office… I posted the following Facebook status update:

Sudden peace and happiness landed on me, I teared up at my office desk. Out of nowhere, an awareness of God’s love too wonderful for words.

For the past hour, I’ve been playing this song on YouTube over and over… it’s the ANTHEM of this moment!

Sailing Safe in Spiritual Storms

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a super weekend! Mine was fantastic… although I ate too much yesterday… and went through some kind of bizarre spiritual storm yesterday afternoon. The clouds rolled in at about 9:30am… and the skies became darker and darker all day long. It almost felt as if someone was praying curses over my life. 

No matter how much I tried to focus on the beauties of my life, all I could see were the negative things… and I ATE everything I could get my hands on, then felt worse. Could this have been a spiritual counter attack for the amazing service we had in Pikeville, KY? I’m still not sure where this came from, but it was FIERCE… and it was NOT of a natural origin!

Some things are NATURAL and others are SPIRITUAL.

NATURAL: When we put 30,ooo miles on a set of tires without rotating them a few times… and we get a flat tire in the most inconvenient place, at the most inconvenient time… this is not an attack of the devil! Our flat tire is classified as a trial of NATURAL ORIGIN. 

SPIRITUAL: Then, there are times when we’re doing everything right… and out of nowhere, BOOM! We are smacked to the floor with a sucker punch! And nothing we do naturally seems to help the situation at all, but only make things worse. Our sucker punch is classified as a trial of SPIRITUAL ORIGIN. 

Ephesians 6:11-13 NLT Put on all of God’s armor so that YOU WILL BE ABLE TO STAND FIRM against all STRATEGIES of the devil. For we are fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RESIST the enemy IN THE TIME OF EVIL. Then after the battle YOU WILL STILL BE STANDING FIRM.

Notice from these verses, that the devil STRATEGIZES his attacks on our lives. He studies us to locate our weaknesses… and he attacks us strategically. 

Many times, these attacks come when we are doing the most good with our lives. This is one of the answers to that age old question, “Why do bad things happen to GOOD people?” 

John 10:10 AMP The thief (the devil) comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I (Jesus) came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

1 Peter 5:8 AMP Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

Time proven techniques for winning over an attack of spiritual origin:

  1. Obviously, pray far more than usual. As soon as you detect a bizarre spiritual storm… find a place where you can be alone, turn on some really good worship music, and pray with FAITH believing that God is far bigger than anything coming against your beautiful life!
  2. Think back over your past few months… and confess any sins that have crept up in your life. Ask God to forgive you and heal you… and give you NEW grace to live holy through the gift of righteousness. (Romans 3:21)
  3. Focus on the LOVE and MERCY of God. Confess out loud, how much God loves you and does not wish for your demise. Doing this will counter the accusing spirit of the devil… and give you the faith to believe that God is FOR YOU and he will NOT LET THIS DESTROY YOU. 
  4. Once you are SUBMITTED to God in prayerfulness… and you have repented of any rogue sins… and you have meditated over how much God LOVES you and has abundant mercy for you… and once you are standing TALL in a POSTURE OF FAITH… RESIST THIS ATTACK OF SPIRITUAL ORIGIN and the devil behind it will FLEE FROM YOU! (James 4:7) 
  5. Celebrate the victory as it rises… letting go of the darkness as it leaves your life. Refuse to stay in a trial any longer that you have to. Praise God, believing that he is working out ALL THINGS for your advantage… EVEN THIS ATTACK OF SPIRITUAL ORIGIN! (Romans 8:28)

I Speak To Your Mountains: Be Flattened!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

I have to tell you guys something weird. I’ve been listening to INSTRUMENTAL music for like two weeks now! Yes, it’s true… life has been so NOISY and STRESSFUL lately that I haven’t been able to listen to anything LOUD and COMPLICATED. I don’t know if this is a permanent thing… sure it’s not! Right now, I’m listening to “Songs For Judah” by Gabriel’s Aboe?? Crazy huh? My mind just demanded some quite… so I found an instrumental channel on Pandora Radio on my iphone and it’s been so peaceful. I’m thinking another week of this and I will return to normal. For now… it’s been a NEW EXPERIENCE… a fun one!

While I’m in this state of tranquility, I want to give you guys a few amazing verses and write a prayer over your lives!

Zechariah 4:6-7, 10a “Then he said to me, This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty. Nothing, not even a might mountain, will stand in Zerubbabel’s way; it will flatten out before him! Then Zerubbabel will set the final stone of the Temple in place and the people will shout: May God Bless it! May God bless it!” and the message continues to Zerubbabel in verse 10, “Do not despise the small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin…”

Father God, I pray for all my blog friends today… that they will never despise the small things you have begun and are just now beginning in them! May each of my friends fully understand that the small things you begin IN THEM will be brought to fruition by your ALMIGHTY hand! I pray for them to have a LARGE and CRYSTAL CLEAR vision of their amazing future! May this vision be so clear that it triumphs over the reality of their obstacles! For you have said that the JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH! May they LIVE BY FAITH TODAY and EVERY DAY! May they SEE your mighty hand working in their circumstances… May they see how much you LOVE them and how committed you are to their success! May they know that they cannot and they will not fail… no matter how things may appear right now! For if you are for them, who could ever stand against them!

As Zachariah prophesied over Zerubbabel concerning the restoration of Solomon’s Temple, I also prophesy over my friends this day! I say over them… “This is what the Lord says: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty! Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, will stand in their way… every mountain will flatten out before them!” I speak with prophetic force against the mountains in their lives, “Be flattened, mighty mountains of opposition!”

I believe and so I pray that Zechariahs message is just as alive for us today as it was the day it shot from that prophets’ mouth! So, I pray that my friends will not attempt to take on their mountains with natural means… that each of them will stand in Spiritual Strength and DRIVE TO THE VICTORY with faith in every step! Give them victories THIS WEEK… victory over things they have not been able to overcome until NOW! May this week be a week of supernatural feats… a week of celebration… and JOY! I pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ… the head of the church and savor to all who believe in him! Amen!

Maybe this prayer will encourage some of you to see beyond small progress… on to a day when the victory will have been achieved! Maybe this will encourage some of you to win more of your battles in prayer, with Spiritual energy! For the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much!

You guys are mighty… so be mighty. Have a super day… I just finished praying great things over you… its going to be alright… these stubborn mountains WILL MOST CERTAINLY MOVE! Chat with you later!

I Have Great News!

Happy Saturday Blog Pals!

I hope you guys get to rest some today… hope you get to spend a little quality time with the people who mean the most to you. It’s the weekend… so let yourself off the hook a little and make sure you do SOMETHING FUN today!

I read something very uplifting in Isaiah 35:3-4 today. It’s very GOOD NEWS for anyone with incurable “problems.”

With this news, strengthen those who have tired hands,
and encourage those who have weak knees.
Say to those with fearful hearts,
“Be strong, and do not fear,
for your God is coming to destroy your enemies.
He is coming to save you.”

There is no circumstance so far deteriorated that God cannot TURN IT AROUND! If you have TIRED HANDS… be strengthened with this good news! If you have WEAK KNEES, be encouraged! If you have a FEARFUL HEART today, BE STRONG AND DO NOT FEAR… for your God is coming to destroy your enemies! Expect a miracle this morning. Place your faith in this message of good news and start to live as if God is COMING TO SAVE YOU right now! Trust me, it’s much better to live with the expectation of victory, than to live in the constant dread of defeat. Think like a champion… not a chump!

In my own life, so many times, right at the moments it seemed like all hope was gone… whenever I keep my eyes on the good news, God always came through for me! The victory didnt always come the way that I ordered it up… but it was always PERFECT!

Don’t forget to show up at Destiny Family Center tomorrow morning at 10:00AM! Yes, it’s that glorious time of the week again… the time when all the beautiful people of the world gather in church houses to build outstanding friendships and worship our outstanding God. Don’t miss out on all the excitement… be there in person or watch on-line… I’m counting down the hours!!!
